Healthy cake - yuk! If you start serving any child free friend some healthy cake with no sugar they will think you have gone mad. I'm with Gubodge on this (tho I have sweet tooth). Give the littleun a small bit of cake or give them a rice cake and the adults something nice.

Sorry handstands doesn't answer your question, I was just putting in a good word for delicious sugary cake!

thanks for your help and suggestions...cake is for a party where there will be quite a few Mums who aren't giving their babies sugar yet [to hold it off as long as possible] so want to try include them in some kind of communal birthday cake eating...will be making a very sugary option too of course, yum, perhaps lots of red velvet cup cakes!

Try:

75g sultanas

250ml soy milk

225gr wholemeal SR flour

3med ripe bananas mashed

2 egg whites, stiffly beaten

blend milk and sultanas together in whizzer. Place flour in bowl

and stir in milk mixture.. Add mashed bananas and fold in egg mix. Place in non-stick loaf tin and bake in a hot oven for 30 minutes, then in moderate oven for a further 20 minutes.

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
