MrBen
Kind of similar to *Bob*.I've been offered 1 free ticket for bombastic ragga bum grinders Chaka Demus & Pliers at the Brixton Academy on October 30th. With support from Mr Loverman himself....Shabba!Whilst I have no interest in this apparent 90's ragga revival I'm a total sucker for anything free. Is going to see one of, like, your least favourite bands evuuuuurr - nearly ten years after they broke up - invariably a bad idea? HonaloochieB
I'd go, but be warned Chaka Demus is sweetheart, but that Pliers is a mardy sod. HonaloochieB
#Until me reach climax...#.That was a line from their hit, whose name escapes me and I don't have a pop encyclopaedia at hand to check. So anyway go, what else will you be doing? *Bob*
Well, as you say - it is free. But then so is crushing the heads of a spare box of Bryant & May and using them to set fire to your pubic hair.Proof - if any were needed - that free does not necesarily mean 'worth doing'. Horsebox
I'd definitely go, if only to hear them perform . Great track, boomshank! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/8322-chaka-demus-pliers-to-go-or-not-to-go/#findComment-256656 Share on other sites
Nero
But then so is crushing the heads of a spare box of Bryant & May - I used to call that a 'genie' when I was younger (so much younger not to have pubic hair). Goodliz
Maxi Priest is also playing that night at the same concert - surely that is worth going to??? I would not go for Shabba (he is not that good live) but would love to see Maxi. Thanks for the clip of 'Murder she wrote' Horsebox - got us grooving in the living room! Is there anything more cheering than that 'singey' smell? And I've got some long matches for the oxter hair.Cheers *Bob*.
