I think we should just have an empty shop. That way people could pass by and just marvel at the emptiness. Each individual could ascribe to the emptiness their own meaning. eg:

"Is the emptiness within this shop a symbolic expression of the emptiness in my soul that is evidence by the fact that the greatest passion in my life is an over-arching obsession with house prices?"

"Does his empty shop represent the emptiness and lack of purpose I feel deep within and which I try to camouflage by bragging publicly of my material possessions and favourite brand of champagne?"

Haven't we already got a sort of empty shop. That art/installation gaff on New Cross Road? The one that played the film of the woman in the bathing suit running about a garden.....on continous loop.

posh clothes and cushions. Mr MW74 will be peeved. There goes more money unecessarily spent on tat, by me!

    • I checked - the Hanway Street place was Mandeer - it moved to New Oxford Street and was replaced by Hakkasan - very different prices.
    • Suppose it depends on how many Christmas cards from family and friends you’re waiting to receive. It’s been the Christmas period so surely give the post delivery service some leeway. Like Sue I’ve not posted off so many this year but some I still write letters to  e.g my late mum’s cousins and other family  but hey ho that’s something I do and enjoy.  I used to hand deliver Christmas cards to a lot of neighbours on my street but gave up this year as realised that most of them I don’t see or speak to and can only count on a few to call a true friend or neighbour.
