Deceased black cat Barry Road

Hi,

Sad to report that yesterday my neighbours saw a black cat run over and killed by a car on Barry Road (nr Upland rd). They have taken the body and put in a cardboard box outside our building. We would like to reunite this cat with its owner. The cat is black and appears to have greyish hair on its underside and dark eyes. It has no tag etc.

In the absence of anyone coming forward for this cat, does anyone have any idea what we should do with the body?

refuse man told me for a dead fox to put it in the green wheelie bin so I expect its the same for a cat

Do you think a Vet would scan it to check for a microchip? Means its owner would at least know what had happened to it.

I took a cat I found that had been run over to my local vet for them to scan it and they can keep for a few daysd fdor owner to come forward then they dispose of it
