Don't know if this is the right place but just curious if there is a rent a car place (like hertz) around east dulwich?

I think the closest is Siddons in Forest Hill. The nearest branches of the big companies seem to be Old Kent Road, Lewisham or Greenwich

Depending on how long you need it for, ZipCar / CityCarClub & the peer-to-peer EasyCarClub are worth a look. Regular car hire places tend to work out a lot cheaper for more than 3 days, but for weekend breaks or big shopping, on-street hire is low-hassle & nearby.

Also look at EasyCar's rental search engine, sometimes comes up with cheaper deals than the hire places' own sites.

When I used to hire cars a lot I would get them from London Bridge / Victoria / Waterloo - easier for me to get to than OKR, open on weekends and with key drop-off boxes.
