We are looking at scheduling our workshops ?Day of Dance? on Wednesday 30th December

Dear Mums and Dads,

We were approached by a couple of parents about Christmas Dance Workshops and so we thought we?d see what the feedback/interest would be like?We thought it might be handy for you should you need the time to do any last minute Christmas preparation/shopping etc?

We would be looking at incorporating Tap, Ballet, Modern and Musical Theatre into a one off ?Day of Dance? or two day ?Christmas Dance Workshop?

The Dates we are thinking of would be either Mon 21st, Tues 22nd or Wed 23rd December? Please advise us of the mostly suitable ones and if we generate enough interest we shall go ahead!

Many thanks,

Chris & Jo

Just wanted to say that both our two loved the course that they did at half-term, and came back totally exhausted at the end of each day which was fantastic! :))

Chris and Jo, have you thought about leafleting at local primary schools - maybe outside at home-time?

Hi there,

I'd be really interested in this for my 5 year old. It would need to be Mon 21st and Tues 22nd to work.

She already does ballet, but would be great to expose her to lots of other types of dance. What happens about stuff like tap shoes? Do you provide them, or are they not needed?

Please keep me posted if this goes ahead via PM.

I will also pass on details to the parents of the ballet group.

Molly

Hi Ludoscotts,

Our youngest students are around 5-6 years old. We will be looking to start regular classes in the New Year which we will obviously let everyone know once we know where and when. Many thanks and hopefully see you there.

Hi Victor,

Good to hear from you and thank you for the nice message. We have thought about leafleting outside schools and obviously will have to let them know. Could you suggest a couple of schools and also maybe you have a contact at your children's school that we could call? Thanks and see you soon!

Hi Molly,

Thanks for the message. We don't provide tap shoes but we suggest to bring a pair of school shoes for tap as trainers are slightly difficult to learn in. Thank you very much for passing on the details to the ballet group. We will keep you updated. Many thanks.

Hi all,

We are looking at scheduling our workshops for after Christmas but before the New Year as this was the time most parents were keen on?so either 27th/28th or 29th December 10am-3pm.

If any of these sound like a suitable time let us know.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

    • Just astonishing - how do they do it? Well done for being so on the ball.
    • Shocking - so fast. Machines can have a false device for inserting your card into and then they retain it. Your bank should return your money
    • FYI East Dulwich neighbours: I was in the middle of a cash withdrawl at the cashpoint at the Tesco Express on ED road (the one next to the Esso petrol station) when a man appeared beside me waving his hands over the screen and saying not to use it because it had just taken his card. He then dissapeared and I cancelled the withdrawl. No card was returned. It took me literally 30 seconds (max) to realise something wasn't right and 'freeze' the card on my mobile/banking app. I immediately got a txt message from my bank saying a transaction had just been declined, and then another. I logged in to app and £251 had already been taken. This all happened increadibly quickly - the whole incident from first encounter to money being taken and me freezing card was probably around 3 minutes. The guy must have somehow seen me put my PIN number in. It's possible there was some kind of card skmming involved, but I don't know for sure. The man was around 5ft 6/7, black and wearing a covid-type face mask. I don't remember what clothes he was wearing. I got the feeling (mainly from his voice and eyes) that he wasn't young - maybe mid-30s to mid-40s (but I can't be sure). Obviously I repoted to police.
    • It would be incredible if the community supported small businesses rather than a chain (Gail's being a very large chain).   Sadly, consumers don't realise their power - as you can see also by the number of coffee cups etc that are still being bought and contribute to landfill - it' not hard to be responsible, just inconvenient.
