I'm happy with The Great Exhibition... A bit awkward for Rob coming from ED station though..... What do you think?

Splendid Jan. Love Munchkin. Is yours deluxe? It helps keep track of level is all. If not I'll bring mine too!

For anybody who wants to come that doesn't have games to bring - COME! You don't need to bring games. There's always a good choice. Don't let it stop you coming.

Ok, we'll say The Great Exhibition this week then.

Sounds good!

It's a bit of a trot for me, so I won't bring my usual hoard of games. But the games already mentioned plus a couple of mine will be plenty to choose from.

Should be there tonight. I'm a fan of the Great Exhibition, but, they will have live music on from 8.30 according to the website so it might not be that easy to play a game over that? And there aren't that many big tables so if we are going there would definitely suggest booking.

Aye, live music kills that as a place to play games, unfortunately.

The Lordship..? It's the nearest nice place to The Great Ex... (The Actress is maybe a bit open-plan/echoey to play games in without feeling self-conscious)

I'm always happy with The Cherry Tree. I think we'll be using The Cherry Tree a LOT though... It seems to be the most convenient for the majority of people who have been (or they drive, so don't care). While that majority isn't in force, shall we say The Lordship tonight? And Cherry Tree next week?

Hey Sepi and Tim,

Splendid! If you have any games you fancy playing, bring them along - but it's not prequisite of coming; there's always a good spread to pick from.

19:45/20:00 at The Cherry Tree.

If anybody ever brings Game of Thrones, I think some protective clothing may be a good idea. I imagine many a drink will be thrown if that ever makes an appearance!

Who else is coming this week?

Cheers

Brad

Big turn out this week!

I'll bring a collection.

I'll also bring Caverna for the first time... It's a bit of a step up from what we've been playing, but certainly playable as three or four (we'll need to split anywho as it looks like seven this week). See if people fancy it anyway; it's longer than we've been used to.

Looking forward to it!

    • https://www.assistancedogs.org.uk/information-hub/assistance-dogs-emotional-support-dogs-and-therapy-dogs/   hello   i’d be interested to understand if anyone.has experience of Assistance Dogs especially for autistic children of different ages for emotional support and therapy   There was a prior thread on this topic on EDF 10 hrs ago but it had limited experiences and there was a (claimed) change in UK legislation in 2019. Whilst the industry appears unregulated/unlicensed, there are several providers (approx 15, perhaps more) who claim to have fully trained dogs or say that they can help families to train a puppy/young dog over the 18-24 months.  The latter obviously comes with a need for strong commitment to the challenge. Costs for a fully trained assistance dog are quoted at £13-15k albeit they claim £23k total cost to train the dog. On the one hand, this could potentially be a useful solution for some families if such a dog was truly trained as their websites claim and such a dog was accepted in public places and schools etc… On the other hand, I don’t think that I’ve ever seen an assistance dog of this type or in this context (only for a blind or partially sighted person) and hence a real risk of fraud or exploitation! The SEN challenge for families coupled with limited resources in schools or from local authorities or the NHS as well as the extremely challenging experience of many families with schools offering little or no support or making the situation worse leaves a big risk of lots of different types of fraud and or exploitation in this area.
    • Hi there  We live on Woodwarde Road backing on to Alleyns Top Field.  Our cat Gigi has gone missing — it’s been about 24 hours now. She is a cream Bengal. Could you please check sheds, garages, or anywhere she might have got stuck please? And if you could keep an eye out or share on any local groups/forums, we’d really appreciate it. Photo attached.   Thanks so much! My name is Jeff on 07956 910068.
    • Colin.    One for the old school.   Just saying.
    • Signed, and I will share it elsewhere, thank you for posting this. It's got nearly 70,000 signatures at present, and apparently runs till February.
