I haven't had a telly for years so I have no clue. I don't get the appeal of MOST telly programmes. My friend spotted the big chap from G&S at a gig recently and explained to me in a loud voice (within his earshot) who he was. Robbie Williams gig at the Roundhouse. I'm not a fan, but I was there anyway, as was the big chap from Gavin & Stacy. He's rather jolly, which I know is a cliche, but he was.
I think I've seen that programme with the kids at my friend's house. If it's the same one then it's got a little girl with the face of an angel who goes on a bit and I have no idea how they get her to do that but she's really sweet and very funny. So, contrary to my earlier post, I guess some TV is worth having.
Maybe...but it still compares favourably with much 'recent' stuff. I think it's really very good. An absolute classic maybe not but really well scripted, decent characters, well acted, etc. I'm thoroughly enjoying this series so far too, when I thought it would have run out of steam by now.

It's the "Smithy doing his Nutty Boy dance" bit really

Other than that I "feel the love" but that's reflective in my contempt for this "show"

Really I want to be part of the joy gang I do ( I do ? see now I'm doing it....fuck )

But on this one, I just can't

* puts on "Smiths" tape *

I saw a bit of this by accident last week, not sure how as I rarely have t'telly on.

Thought it was absolutely brilliant.

Watched it tonight having made a mental note to do so (how grammatically correct am I).

Gutted I missed the first series. I think it's brilliant.

Feel like when I suddenly stumbled across Sex and the City just when it was about to finish :-$

Anything with Alison Steadman in is fine by me :)-D

Edited to add: Script is great, acting is great, it makes me laugh, that's it really.

Its brilliant for me, but it was recommended to me and therefore I watched it.

But then I think with most things you have to be in from the start - or if joining later, decide you really want to like it - if you start watching half way through and want to be impressed in one episode, then chances are it won't do it for you.

Its all about the characters and you need to get to know them.

as for WFMTD statement above ... I feel the same way about Peep Shoe , I think David Mitchell is the most smuggest prick , and I want to kick the set in when ever he's on ... for instance , QI was on the other night and I would have watched it of he wasnt on , I couldnt bear to look at his smug face and listen to his stupid smug voice , so I turned over .... i realize Rob Brydon probably makes WMTD react in a similar way ....

    • I think it's a good idea and follows the example of other towns/areas. As it says in the article, the area around the main tourist attractions in Southwark, that is The Globe, Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern and the whole walking route from London Bridge to Blackfriars, takes a lot of maintaining and it shouldn't be a burden on regular council tax payers like us.
