Avoid B&Q's own brand ('Diall') traps.

I've kept a pair of them in play over the years to deal with occasional unwanted visitors, and between them they have caught three mice. Sounds good, but one trap was licked clean of bait without springing, and the last mouse it caught had evidently not died straight away - I think because the trap sprang when it was leaving rather than feeding - which is really not what one hopes for. B&Q have gone for an unusual design - I think the regular type of trap you can get anywhere is likely to be more consistently effective and humane.

Peanut butter is effective as bait.

We used a combo of snap traps and poison over the years - sometimes getting rid of them but always came back. Despite getting exterminator and getting holes filled up an blocked... we never had an infestation which would have meant they would have been nesting and living in our flat... but it seems like we had mice more often than not over the years.... Anyway, my partner used to have an adamant 'no cats policy' but our losing battle with mice broke him. We just got a cat. Brilliant. Caught one mouse in her first few days... no sign of any since. And I think they will keep away smelling her scent and if they do attempt to make a comeback, she'll hunt them down with no mercy.

are good and my preferred method .Leave against a skirting board with entrance positioned adjacent to wall ,bait with apple, chocolate etc . Very effective at catching mice .

    • Loki hasn’t been seen since Sunday. He’s all grey but if you look closely he has faint stripes on the top of his tail. No pedigree, just very much loved. About 4 years old. No collar, but chipped.  please keep an eye out for him. We live on Barry Road SE22
    • I went in here the other day. The fruit is all really good - ripe and fresh. They also sell good bread (and croissants and pastries) from a independent bakery, the name of which I've forgotten. 🤦 The prices (which are marked) are not cheap but they are fair imo. Comparable to the specialist fruit shop on Lordship Lane (Brothers?) for really good quality. It's similar prices to Simply Fresh - but Simply Fresh's fruit and veg is very poor. Beaten about and tasteless. Sainsbury's is certainly cheaper. IMVHO they're a good addition to the Dulwich Village "retail offer".
    • Went actually for the first time yesterday. Terrific food, so was well pleased. Agree with previous poster to support.
