trio closing down this sunday

I can't believe it! I feel slightly panicked ? WHERE WILL I GO?!

This place has been an absolute life saver and I am GUTTED that it will close down. I don't know why it is closing down but assume rising rent prices have got something to do with it.

I have emailed the owner to ask whether there is anything we can do to save it. I will happily pay more for my coffee and cake to cover the rent, or even better, shame the landlord in to charging a reasonable rent.

Posted this news in the main gossip section and it is not accurate, the cafe is closed Sunday for a private function. Caused me a moment of panic......

Rumour has it that the Trio site will be taken over by The Pedler team (unsure if this is as well as, or instead of their Queens Rd site).

Notice on the door says that it is a 'Pedlar venture' in the form of a pizza place. Planning to open in August.

It's good that someone's using it - it's a great space for a restaurant. If the food's good, should do well.

Just what Peckham needs ... another pizza restaurant ... we didn't have any of those yet after all (STILL gutted about Trio closing - sorry!)
