the EDT mentioned on The Royal Variety Show tonight

Hi a comedian mentioned getting heckled at the East Dulwich Tavern during his set on the Royal Variety show tonight. I cant remember his name but he has a false leg and he said someone with a false ear heckled his at a night in the EDT- did that really happen or was it just made up as part of his act?

(For the record I thought Adam Hills was lame (pun not intended). All he does is make jokes about having one leg.)

I'm intrigued that he specified which pub it happened in - was that necessary for the joke or just local colour? - I'm assuming her majesty isn't familiar with the East Dulwich Tavern..

To the best of my knowledge, the only pub Her Maj has ever frequented (once) is the Bridge Inn in Topsham, near Exeter, where I believe she had a sherry.

I only know that because it used to be my local, and after I left Topsham, someone sent me a cutting from the local paper showing Liz at the (tiny) bar :))

I believe she was there because it's the oldest blah blah blah
