Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

We're Zoe & Leon from East Dulwich. Towards the end of 2015 we started running our 'radio drama making' workshops (WordPlay) in schools, bookshops and theatres. In a couple of weeks we are holding an adult WordPlay workshop in the Peckham Pelican, here are all the details about the workshop:

In groups you'll be challenged against the clock to script, perform and broadcast live your very own radio play (including your own sound FX). These live transmissions will take place from our pop-up radio studio, which will be set up in The Peckham Pelican, and after the event you'll be able to re-live the afternoon by hearing your play back online.

The theme for this workshop is 'Twisted Valentine' - make of that as you will!

Saturday 13th Feb, 3-5pm

Tickets are ?10 each and are only available online:

Please visit our website for more infomation and to book your place.

    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
    • The toilets at this spot in the park have been vandalised to such an extent that they are now closed.
    • Hello! I'm looking for 2-3 baby gates I can borrow from 17th August - 6th September for a visitor.  Does anyone have any I could use? Thank you!
