Smoked for around 16 years 20-40 cigs a day :-$:-S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/9221-neighbours-that-smoke/page/4/#findComment-278982 Share on other sites
????
I smoked from 13-40 and then gave up overnight and found it ok - I think deciding that I didn't want to die from smoking and 27 years was putting me in the 'when' rather than 'if' box sealed it for me. I just occasionally get a real strong craving at really odd times and places...not when I'm drinking funnily enough. Jah Lush
Quids if you're honest I reckon if you hadn't have had kids you'd probably still be smoking now. I can see that your priorities would have changed somewhat once the little darlings arrived. I've been inhaling since I was 12 and I enjoy smoking. If I didn't I'd give up. There are plenty of other things that are bad for us too. Jah Lush
Agreed ruffers once the OP felt the thread wasn't going his/her way they were off - in a puff of smoke. daizie
For me, giving up had nothing to do with having kids, shamefully . Amongst other things, it was when i was waking up with no feeling in my hands and feet or bad 'pins and needles' in hands and feet, i knew circulation was affected. Some people can smoke forever and it not affect them, i werent one of them, otherwise id still be smoking because i did enjoy it . Jah Lush
And there lies a difference daizie. You felt a need to give up and so you did. So well done you.
