just wondering what people think about them, do they have healing qualities and come from the aliens or are they cool artwork by some very clever individuals?

Are they a complete waste of good crops or do the yeilds increase in the feilds where they appear, some farmers report that they do?

Personally I lilke them and think they brighten upour countryside.

We discussed this before.

Consensus was man made obviously, yes they're pretty but you wouldn't to find one in your field now would you.

I used to see them quite often in herts/beds. Always coincidentally in full view of a

passing main road (A405 was very popular, can't imagine there are many aliens concerned wih how many admirers will be going between Luton and hitchin)

If Mike Skinner and his sidekick Beat Stevie (Ted) can do this with a tractor and a bit of software with GPS then surely anyone can? Not quite as accurate granted but then the pattern is very irregular compared to most...

Probably not the right thread, but did anyone else hear the St John's, Goose Green clock strike at midnight? Didn't count the strokes, but very spooky.

After dismissing the idea that we were being invaded, I couldn't sleep for ages pondering the mystery of this.

    • We did fine for 300 years with the Royal Mail before the current "competitive" shambles was introduced. Now we have multiple companies with multiple vehicles making deliveries to the same streets every day, none of the workers are employees with decent working conditions or any job security, and consumers have to deal with x different distribution networks and apps and platforms and drop-off points... https://postandparcel.info/12422/news/uk-royal-mails-monopoly-to-end-on-1-january-2006/
    • That's certainly the narrative that runs ad infinitum on the Forum but I wonder how true it is. Speaking for myself I'm very happy M&S, Superdrug, Pret and, in the last century, Sainsbury's arrived and judging from the business they do I'm not alone.
    • There are Christmas lights?! Or a, I missing something?
    • Though it's often the big corporates who dig deepest. For small independents that's a bigger ask, decorating, when they do their own premises is cost enough. And we're normally happy not to have the big corporates in LL.
