Hi before spending any money try these few things, Run chkdsk /r in an elevated command prompt,

also run this..... rd /s /q c:\$Recycle.Bin this will empty all recycle bins.

Run disc cleanup and include system file dumps. Do you have any system restore back-ups on it? (assuming its not win 8 or 10) also if you use hibernation delete the files.

Go to control panel folder options then check the box "show hidden files"

To delete the hibernation files you will have to disable the function again run cmd and enter this.. powercfg.exe -h off

Synology usually run a form of Linux, so most of that probably won't work, RC.

If it's new then the disks might not be formatted yet. Have you used it before?

If you've had it a while, then if you can login via SSH then try running 'df -k' to see if the main disk has actually mounted. It may be you've had a disk failure and it's refusing to mount. Also, if you have encrypted the drive then if you rebooted lately you'll need to go on and enter the encryption key to unlock the disk.

    • Dog kennel isn't a great name for a school. I agree that it's ridiculous for the name to put anyone off going there, but don't see any issue with them rebranding if the parents and children prefer a new name. The school is surrounded by historical 'groves' (reflected in the names of Camberwell Grove, Grove park and Grove Vale for example), so it's not a totally random name.
    • It might help if there are body cams to record evidence and a presence maybe a deterrent but I very much doubt a park warden would intervene with obnoxious and violent thugs - children or not. We need police for that.

His attention to detail was matched by his kind humanity. The result was a completely renovated toilet which has never worked more efficiently as well as 'service with a smile'. MANY THANKS NIKO!!!
    • I am trying to find out about people's experiences of the 4+ and 7+ assessments. I am a teacher and have a wealth of experience tutoring for theses assessments (including my own son), but it's always good to keep on top of things as they always make tweaks to them. TIA!
