Grumpy Old New Year

What is it that grumpies dislike most about this time of the year? For me one of the main things has got to be all the "Reviews of 2009" etc, as if nothing is actually happening in the world right now.

Not much really, starvation, wars, disease, you know the usual stuff that papers and the media don't think is news worthy or will appeal to the public. Other than that it's all sweetness and light.

Agreed Atila...but these things you mention are not exactly specific to a New Year are they...as opposed to say, Bony Fido's "Reviews of 2009"? But I can see why they would make one grumpy...
