I shouted "happy new year" and "happy new year East Dulwich Forum" while at Dawsons Heights Hill,

and a few people responded to the former.

Saddest sight was me realising there was more walk to get home and not enough mulled wine in the flask to last the walk!

Bus driver not letting me back onto N68 at Camberwell Green at 3.30am to retrieve my treasured 40-year-old hand crocheted shawl which I had left upstairs and realised immediately I got off that I had left it on the bus. I explained the situation and he still refused.

Bastard.

I have the bus number etc but he refused to give me his name. Somehow doubt I'll ever get the shawl back. Not a good start to the New Year. I had a very cold walk home (6)

Glad to hear you got a response! There was a lot of singing going on as well - Auld lang Syne and so on... so it wasn't as sad as I intimated in my first post. It was a nice happy atmosphere really. Pity we don't know each other - I could have invited you in to top up your flask for your long walk home....

    • Miss Robson is the last of the old school independent vets. All the chains are have seriously hiked their prices over the last few years which now makes pet ownership only possible for the wealthy few. Even with pet insurance -( which often excludes items or has ‘deductibles’ ) it is just so much money. A visit with some medication is often £150 - £200. The vets themselves are excellent.
    • Awful. A Google search came up with this, but will he check his office email over Christmas? Maybe worth also contacting local councillor? 'To contact Southern Housing's CEO, Paul Hackett, you can try his direct email, [email protected], or use the general contact email [email protected], as well as calling their main number, 0300 303 1066, for general inquiries or to be directed to the executive level.'
