'?400 off new boiler' scheme?

I wonder if anyone has heard more about it and, mainly, does anyone know how it will work in practice (will you get a cheque for ?400 back or what? There has been a few energy-savings government schemes recently (like 50% towards the cost of double-glazing which has never materialised) hence my question. cheers

It will work like the car scrappage scheme. My mate actually is the person that came up with this idea and could probably tell you more, I beleive he is working with govt on it. It has not come in yet however as I understand. if you use twitter you can get him on @mickwill..... oh - do mention ratty!

NPower is offering ?400 in its own scheme, which led the Times y'day to write that a punter could get a total of ?800 off a new boiler once the government comes along.
