I suspect all your recommendations for the same two businesses were moved to the ED businesses, restaurants & trades section where they belong. I have to say, the continued re-recommendations are starting to look a bit suspicious.

It is weird...her, the gardener and the plumber seem to have some kind of recommendation triangle going on :

Yes, I know what you mean as well but it was always a bit irksome that positive reviews were obviously allowed to remain as it seemed slightly unbalanced.

Thanks for the clarification.

"I have worked very hard to gain respect with my customers "

The irony being that it has been much easier to lose the respect of many more potential customers with your hectoring tone on here

If you were the last gardener in south east London I wouldn't use you if you paid me

You can put that on your business card if you like

I know you have sent me a PM. Before I get back to you please could you edit your posts that break the rules?

Clue:

"- Do not repetitively post about you services offered, this includes continuously offering your services to people with "I've PM'd you mate", "thanks for the recommendation" and "I can do that for you" messages."

Sorry this got lost in the flood. No, there hasn't been solicitor's letters but I have been contacted by the police about complaints they've had. Yes, they and I know it's not criminal, but in order to keep the peace we decided that the removal of some posts would be a good idea.

Hello,

I've just tried to edit my profile to use a more up to date email address, which worked ok until I was asked to input the verification code. I've checked both old and new email (no code email found) and reviewed your FAQs without joy.

Would really appreciate your help,

Many thanks

    • Sue. It's a long journey trying to change the long established mindset that many of us grew up with, namely cultivated flowers are good and wild flowers anywhere other than in the wild are bad. My job as a child was to go round pulling up all the dandelions that dared to invade my Dad's pride and joy of a garden. I still battle with my Mum, trying in vain to convince her of the benefits of so called weeds in her garden. Her neighbours, all of a certain age, are the same. Anyone who doesn't attack any weed with gusto is the subject of Mum's disapproving neighbours. We can only keep trying to convince others of the benefits of these much maligned flowers.
    • You might leave copies of this post on the windscreens of any cars that you think may have been issued with parking tickets before you saw the suspension notices being put up.  Include some contact details -- at least your forum username -- so that the owners can contact you if they wish to dispute the tickets on the ground of unlawfulness. Eventual feedback here -- presumably this would be evidence of a cancellation of any such tickets  -- would be very welcome.
    • I've got more problems with people paving over their gardens, plastic grass and the like.  Perhaps see what Southwark say on line about managing their pavements.
    • How about the "local" councillors look after it? They're here all the time anyway, right,so it wouldn't be much of an additional burden for them to update olit once a month.
