Does anyone know where I can buy some felt fabric locally? Tried the haberdasher in Peckham but they don't have anything suitable. I don't really want to end up with metres of it as I'm after smallish pieces in an assortment of colours. If anyone has any they don't want, I'd be happy to take it off your hands in return for some wine! Thanks

What colours are you looking for?

I bought some in John Lewis just before christmas and bought twice as much as I actually needed (it was my first attempt at making something plus I couldnt get the shades right!!). Some I can take back as its in packets but most I bought from the roll so am unable to return.

Hi Clare, not too bothered about the colours, but maybe something a bit girly would be good as it's for my daughter. Only have slightly yucky green and brown felt at home. Happy to buy some bright colours off you.

Not too urgent Molly, but the whim to do something crafty will probably pass soon if I don't seize the moment!

hiya,

I bought it to make spots for a blind and lampshade for a nursery - baby is a girl although nursery very unisex.

I therefore have multicolour felt in a few bright colours - pink, purple, yellow, orange, red, green, and blue.

Certain colours I have in more than one shade as I was a bit rubbish at matching the colours to the rug I was copying!

Your welcome to pop round and see if there is anything suitable.

Clare

Sounds as though you are all sorted out with Clare C's remnants but in case you want more, I have found these people fantastic, they sell felt squares and pre-cut shapes which my girls have found fantastic fun.

    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
    • I can also strongly recommend Lukasz after he completed some floorboard repairs and some complex repairs to skirting damaged through dog chews. He is responsive, punctual, reasonably priced, detail-oriented and his work is to a very high standard.
    • Really? Yes you are probably right as I know from personal experience with Guys… as I claiming travel costs back, that no one told me I could claim! Left hand does not know what right hand is doing regarding admin..  If they charged people for wasting overstretched staff in A& E as in not urgent just might deter people from wasting precious time…. But then you need interpreters, to explain if language is a barrier and admin staff to administer..  Correct me if I am wrong but is there not a train from Denmark Hill or East Dulwich which goes to London Bridge? Would be faster than 2 buses I would have thought.    Oh, forgot about Tessa Jowell but thought you needed GP referral in which case, that would be the place to go rather than a bigger hospital. Know there is one in Beckenham and you can call and they will give you an idea as to wait time…..same I hope at TJ…assuming they answer phone.. If one really things about it…too many  people in London for example and to few hospitals…
