Hello all - I realise there are numerous threads on broadband issues, I'm looking for some location specific advice.

I am on the southern end of Underhill Road (Horniman end) and am looking to change from Sky broadband to either Virgin fibre (shock horror!) or BT fibre.

Does anyone in my local area have problems on reliability and speed with either of these?

Thanks in advance.

Worth noting that while all ISP's except Virgin use BT Openreach, Sky and TalkTalk have Local Loop unbundling (LLU) at the Dulwich exchange, which means they have their own direct connections to their own networks, while the rest use bandwidth sold by BT Wholesale. This is why for example, TalkTalk don't have traffic shaping where speeds are lowered for some users with other ISP's.

    • Thanks ianr. So no mention of either Tesco  or October? So we are no further forward with knowing when the Tesco will actually open? The place seems to have been empty for ages. I would have thought Tesco might have wanted to be up and running in time for Christmas, but maybe that isn't relevant to a relatively small Tesco Express? ETA: The wonders of the space bar, eh? It took me more  time than it should have done to see the difference between the two addresses in your previous post!
