Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows any ways I can watch Italian TV over here? It doesn't have to be at the same time it's being broadcast over there, but I would like to watch a few series that are currently on, from the beginning.

I sadly don't have Sky (not even sure if that would help?!) and I can't seem to watch the programmes I'm after on YouTube (they only show clips).

Any suggestions would be really great.

Thank you in advance.

I watch French TV using a Smart DNS proxy and a service on my Smart TV and PC called Zattoo Switzerland.

The Swiss version gives you channels from France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, UK and Italy.

Italian Channels on Zattoo are:

RSI S1 (La 1)

RSI S2 (La 2)

Rai 1

Rai 2

Rai 3

Rai 4

Canale 5

Rai Sport 1 and 2

Rai News

Rai Gulp

Rai Scuola

Rai Storia

Italia 1

Rete 4

La 5

La 7

MTV Italy

DMAX Italy

Smart DNS Proxy costs around ?3.50pm and Zattoo is free, but the picture is average, but for ?5.70pm, you get some channels in HD and a 7 day catch-up of all programmes.

    • A friend of mine was into "skill swap" about 40 years ago. It wasn't within an organised scheme, she just offered services like help with painting in exchange for services received. She upset some people as they carried out their services for a living, I.e. for money. An organised scheme sounds much better.
    • Gosh, that is a blast from the past.  Friends in York were into this, he was an accountant and had things like decorating done in exchange.  Not sure if it was equivalent in terms of hours, and I recall HMRC being interested as it was a way of tax avoidance.   A link for a London wide scheme but have no idea of its popularity: https://www.londonwide.letslink.org/members/index.php

After years of 'nagging' by myself and our daughters, we may have cured hubby of spending £4 plus on individual cards for our immediate family  ( when you have 12 immediate family it costs a bomb) Also as the girls state, they get put in the recycling bad at beginning of January regardless of cost.
