Looking for a part time nanny and/or nanny share family from June

We are looking for someone to care for our son, who will be a year old in June, and for another family who would like to share nanny care from early June. We will need someone 3 days a week, likely Wednesday-Thursday-Friday, 8am-6pm. We're happy to host care in our home, or for care to go back and forth between the sharing families' houses.

We are looking for someone who has a gentle approach and who has extensive experience with babies and young toddlers. Our son is very active so we are looking for someone who will be happy to get down on the floor and play with him, and take him and the other family's child/ren out to playgroups, libraries, classes etc. We want to find someone who can help prepare healthy vegetarian food for our son, who can come up with fun activities, and who can help to make sure our son feels loved and listened to while we are at work. Knowledge of RIE and/or Montessori is a plus.

We need a nanny who is first aid trained, who has a current DBS check, and who has fantastic references. Excellent English is imperative but we definitely welcome speakers of other languages.

Please do get in touch if you're interested in the job, or if you're another family who would like to share a nanny with a similar profile.

Good envening,

Nice to see you ad on the forum because it is exactly what I am looking for.

Nanny and french teacher for young children since more than 2 years now, I have good references and experience.

Fun, creative and reliable, I could be the right nanny for your little boy.

I am currently working for a family in ED, with 2 kids (4 and 2,5 yo). As my contract will end in June, it could be perfect to switch with your family.

Can't wait to hear more about you, please do not hesitate to contact me for further information and CV/references.

Have a lovely evening

Hi Marlene

We are looking for a nanny (and a family to nanny share with) from July (when our daughter will turn 1 and I will be going back to work) for 3 days a week (days are flexible). A french speaking nanny would be ideal as my husband speaks french with our daughter.

We are based in Loughborough Junction, SE5.

Please let me know if this could be of interest.

    • Thank you for the feedback! Helps to see we're not alone. The only good experience we had was Modern House. Anyone tried Strike/Purple Bricks/Yopa? How did it go? Anything to be mindful of?
    • Best experience we had was with Modern House. The rest of the agents around the area are appalling.... They just want their commission and not interested in getting a good deal. You'd be lucky if they pick up the phone...
    • I’d like to echo the positive comments about Trelco. I discovered that the stopcock on the rising main was leaking and was damaging the flooring in the utility room. Not having seen this thread, or any reviews for that matter,  I picked Trelco  as it was the nearest to me. It was a gamble but goodness it paid off. James was responsive and clear in what he offered. His colleague Andy replaced the offending stopcock and put in a lever valve to allow me to shut off the water easily when I go away. He did a great job, neat and tidy, he was cheerful, friendly and professional. All this within a day of contacting them. Although not an emergency it needed resolution quickly. The price charged was very reasonable indeed, especially considering the quality of the service. I am so pleased to have found such an excellent plumber.
