Decided to be sensible and deal with some minor slate roof repairs a few weeks ago while the sun was shining. Got a couple of quotes and Norwood Roofing were able to do the work efficiently the next day, at a decent price and without scaffolding. Highly recommended.

Another recommendation for Norwood Roofing Specialist. David and Patrick recently refitted a defective downpipe for us and sealed a leaking soil pipe. They also re-pointed all the surrounding brickwork. They were professional, efficient, competitively priced and a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I can also recommend Norwood Roofing. David and Patrick replaced most of our guttering, de-mossed the roof and repointed a few bits in our brickwork. They were efficient, on time and finished the job very quickly to my complete satisfaction. I would be happy to use them again.

Another recommendation for David and Patrick. They've just completed an overhaul of my roof - very pleased with the results which I could see on a comprehensive set of photos. Really friendly and reliable guys, and their scaffolders were great too. Quick, neat and tidy job. Would not hesitate to use again - in fact they're coming back soon to do some additional repointing work for me.

I am very very surprised at how glowing all of the reviews are for Norwood Roofing Specialists. I used this company twice in the last year. The last time, Dave was extremely verballly abusive to me (on the phone on 2 occasions) and also to the real estate agents managing my property (in person in their office). I have never before had a problem with any builders/work people, and so don't believe I provoked his attack. As it was also to the estate agents, it wasn't just to me. Although the work was done promptly, I will never again use this company as being threatened by a work person - particularly as a woman - left me feeling frightened.

I can also recommend Norwood Roofing. Very prompt replies to messages and a comprehensive quote.

The repair work to a leaking flat roof (Crystal Palace Road SE22) in February 2019 was completed quickly and with no fuss. And they even recommended and completed a few extra repairs to the ground floor flat's roof while they were on the property.

David and Patrick were both friendly and professional.

Another endorsement for Dave at Norwood Roofing. I Had water coming into my bathroom because of a flat roof problem last week. Dave came out the next day, gave a comprehensive quote and then completed the work within a few days. Good and professional job, guaranteed and at a competitive price. Friendly and easy to do business with, no mess , no fuss. highly recommend.
I am pleased to add another endorsement for Norwood Roofing - they did an excellent job on the roofing over my bay window, competitive price and so very professional and cheerful. The work was done in a few days despite the awful weather. A 10 year guarantee is very reassuring. I have no hesitation in recmmending them.
I'm very pleased to add my recommendation for Dave at Norwood Roofing. Dave and his mate replaced a long stretch of guttering at the back of my house that needed extra holders for it. They did an excellent job! They are extremely professional, friendly and managed to work carefully around my plants with their ladders. The price is very competitive and the work is excellent. Very highly recommended.
I can recommend Dave and Patrick from Norwood Roofing. They turn up when they say they will, tell you what needs done and get on with the job with no fuss. I have used them twice and am very happy with the work they carried out on my roof. The work is guaranteed and their prices are reasonable so would happily use them again.

Wow, after all these recommendations I have just tried to call and found them to actually be quite rude. ?I don?t work Sunday?s so can?t help you? was an actual statement made. I Wasn?t asking him to come and do anything today I was enquiring for someone to come and look at the guttering and advise me, considering the websites says they can arrange free quotes. He then asked me to tell him exactly what I need doing I said I don?t know I just know it?s broke and I?d like a professional to take a look for me but to be honest considering you are so rude I would rather find someone else. Thanks. Maybe I caught him on a bad day but would advise if you don?t work sundays maybe don?t answer your work phone on sundays.

Leave a tradesman be on a Sunday, jeez.

And slagging the tradesman off to boot.

Sense of entitlement = bewildering

Why not delete this thread, so you?re not unfairly costing him business.

I?ll contact him to bring this thread to his notice (because I bet you didn?t have the spine to tell him yourself).

?Hi mate (Dave)

I just thought I would bring to your notice that somebody has posted on the East Dulwich Forum what I regard as derogatory marks about you and your business.

They are saying they called you (on a Sunday for heavens sake) and feel offended that they didn?t get either the answers all the information they were looking for!

Here is the thread on the EDF:

I just don?t like people slagging off businesses without due reason, and I have told the person so, publicly on their thread.

Best?

I highly recommend Norwood Roofing. I had a leak in my roof following the recent heavy rain and they did an excellent job fixing it.

They were extremely responsive when I contacted them out of hours, talked through exactly what needed to be resolved and shared a fair price. They completed the work promptly to a high quality (which also comes with a guarantee) and also shared before/after pictures for peace of mind. David and his team were friendly and professional.

I can add to the high praise for David and Norwood Roofing. I?ve been thoroughly satisfied with the work done to repoint our roof and repair defective flashing on our chimney, as well as clearing our guttering. David is always on time and charming - and looks to fit you in as soon as possible too. Highly recommend.

Hi all. We've just recently worked with David at Norwood Roofing and wanted to add my recommendation for the works that they did. We had a chimney at the rear of the property that was in terrible condition and needed repointing/cementing.

I contacted David a few weeks ago, he came around quickly to provide a quote and was then available shortly after to start the works. They were polite, efficient and completed the job to a high standard (we have a good view of the chimney).

Happy to share before & after photos if that helps.

Another shout out for David and Norwood Roofing. We had a leak around Christmas time to which David and team responded extremely quickly and went out of their way to fix during the festive period. Following this we had another leak in a different area of our roof where once again David and team were quick to respond and deal with it. They actually enhanced some of our guttering work and seem to genuinely take pride in what they do. That?s rare these days. Highly recommended.

    • As I age, I understand a lot more about community spirit and people’s fear in the current climate of going to the assistance of a person in need. Yes, this might in part be aged related but is also driven by not wishing or wanting to help but a combination of self preservation and yes, fear of what the attacker might do or even worse get stabbed or physically assaulted.  Whilst it would be great to have more police presence to reassure community and hopefully act as a deterrent to people whose aim is to rob people or home and attack people, due to the cutbacks and not sure about my next comment but lack of police officers in general and reduce number of recruits, let’s face it - we as a community should step up to protect our community and assist police. Years ago, I attended one of these evening meeting with the local police officers - turn out was less than a dozen local residents. Yes, was in the evening when a lot of families were dealing with homework, feeding, after school activities and obviously there are housebound people and older members of the community who understandably would not wish to come out. I believe that to address this, the church at the top of Barry Road near the library have over the last couple of years advertised  and organised day time meeting with two local police officers responsible for the area to address issues concerning the local community. What  happened in daylight might as mentioned above been in part caused by an individual with possible mental health problems - the point is we should all feel safe on our streets in London and without doubt if you read the news, seems like stabbing, assault is now just the norm - a reflection of modern day society in any large town in the UK. If memory serves me correctly, not related to assault but was not someone stabbed a couple of years ago near the junction with the organic shop? And I believe mentioned recently someone died in the local community from an assault. Would be good to have an update from the police or someone known to the individual attacked.  I was in East Dulwich just last week talking to a friend in Barry Road and was surprised to see two bobbies walking along the road in broad daylight so now having heard about the assault can only assume police presence has been increased.
    • Disagree. Where are the police when you need them? People want a police presence, they want to feel reassured by seeing them do what the word suggests, policing, so go catch some bad guys, arrest, charge and get the CPS to prosecute with the evidence to enable this to happen. Stabbing and shootings are so common place they no longer even get reported in the public domain. How many crimes don't get solved? Rather case closed and forgotten. The number of low to high level crimes which remain unsolved is staggering.  The criminal fraternity know this, they know they won't get caught so they just carry on.  Biggest crimes which affect most people, probably are phone and car theft, both are prolific and what do the police do, diddly squat. zilch, nothing, provide a crime reference number and the case is closed. Not good enough, not by a country mile.   Met Engage? I don't think so.

Recent data suggests a drop in violent crime. Gang violence will make a significant contribution to the numbers. You are unlikely to be attacked by a stranger
