Thank you David & team for a job well done. David was extremely quick to react and came to inspect the roof and to provide a competitive quote on the day I contacted him. The job was carried out a few days later. The team were courteous, quick and very professional. I highly recommend them!

Another recommendation for David. He came to inspect our guttering which had struggled to cope with a sudden torrential downpour. Despite the fact that it was raining at the time and he was clearly much in demand for quotes as his phone was constantly ringing, David decided to clear out the guttering then and there and while he was at it to check out the roof for any further work that might be needed. He did spot an issue which he suggested we might like to consider paying some attention to. (Diverting a downpipe?s outfall away from a valley - which needs clearing out and pointing - and towards the main body of the roof itself which should help contain any overflows from torrential cloudbursts.). But this was done purely on a suggestion basis rather than putting the frighteners on. And he was happy to take some time talking through the pros and cons. The upshot was that we asked him to come back next week to do this extra bit of work! Good stuff David. Many thanks for all your work to date.

I'm sorry but I cannot recommend David from Norwood Roofing. I found him rude, discourteous and when he wants his money, he is very aggressive. His prices were expensive but I used him because of his guarantee. I have had to ask him back to deal with a recurrent problem on a roof, but he has given up on this problem all together and says it has nothing to do with him. A guarantee isn't worth the paper it is written on unless the tradesman comes back to have another look. It's a shame but please think twice before using him.

David and Patrick from Norwood Roofing did a job for me today in East Dulwich. Back in 2016 Norwood Roofing sorted some storm damage for me on another house and did a good job. I have to say I was even more impressed today. The service was quick and efficient and unlike many other roofers for a job of this kind they were ok about using ladders rather than scaffolding. This made a big difference in time, cost and aggravation. The work was some slate replacement but mostly repointing some critical areas near the roof, including a chimney stack and window headers, to stop further wind and rain damage to walls and roof. The pointing looks good. It's not often that repointing blends in with the different kinds of brickwork found in Victorian houses. David is quite an extrovert character and some people might find his humour difficult, but he's great at explaining what's to do and why. I'd use Norwood Roofing again.

We used David and his team to fix a leaking pipe seal and seal up some damaged repointing on our 3rd floor roof.

Nice guy, knowledgeable, quick and efficient, local and really helpful with sourcing a local scaffolder too. I'd definately recommended him and his team.

David fixed a leak on our flat roof today and has done a great job. He was really prompt at communicating, flexible and accommodating and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend him and will use him again if we need to.

David has just finished his second project on our house, replacing soffits, fitting new guttering and updating coping stones on our flat roof. All his work has been done to the highest standard, he's very professional to deal with and the work happens on time and to budget with a 10 year guarantee. In common with other users I'd highly recommend him and we'd definitely use him again should we need more work done in the future.

David and Patrick have just completed a repair to our roof where we had a slight leak. Arrived bang on time, quickly diagnosed the issue and sorted it out straightaway. Minimum of fuss and a good job as ever. Many thanks.

Another glowing recommendation for David (and Patrick). After last week?s heavy rain, I noticed a damp patch on the wall of our loft extension. I texted David on a Sunday to arrange for him to have a look-see to try to identify the cause of the problem. He happened to be in the area and so asked if it would be OK to pop across that morning. On a Sunday! That?s service.

Having surveyed the roof and having taken lots of photos, he broke the bad news that the felting in our flat roof was beginning to show signs of deterioration and would need replacing. To cut a long story short, we agreed that my partner and I agreed that the work needed doing and so by Wednesday the scaffolding had arrived and Friday morning, 7:45am Patrick was up on the roof starting work. By around 3:00 on the Friday the job was completed to an exceptionally high standard.

Thanks again David and Patrick. Excellent work yet again and so easy to see why you get the great reviews!

Very best...

David and Patrick did a fantastic job for me last week. I had leak in my glass roof over the side return extension and texted David on the basis of these recommendations. He came round the same day to check it out and then returned the following morning to fix it (there was a fair amount of me texting him pictures in between as it was getting a lot worse with the heavy rain, and him checking in with a glazier who wanted to charge a call-out fee with no guarantee of actually fixing it!).

The result was that David and Patrick figured out that it was a fairly easy fix in the end and didn't actually charge me! By that stage I had already secured them to re-point my chimney and clear my guttering, both of which had been worrying me as we're about to move into winter. The work was all completed within the week to a really high standard.

It's pretty rare to find someone who is so efficient and goes out of their way to help, very much appreciated! I've already been recommending David to friends in the area and he definitely deserves all of the great reviews on here.

So happy with the work done by Norwood. They fixed a leaking flat roof at short notice but did a great job and also took the time to answer questions. We've now booked them back to do some work to the side of our property and I can't speak highly enough of them. David is most definitely on it in terms of getting to you, quoting and getting the job done right.

Norwood Roofing Specialists are excellent. I called David just before Christmas because our roof was leaking. Within 1 day he had arranged for scaffolding to be put up, and within 2 days the previous supposedly waterproof paint was removed and an underfelt and charcoal cap-sheet torched down using gas burners.

They were quick, efficient and highly professional and the price was fair. A day later it was bucketing down and not a drop of water came through. I would highly recommend Norwood Roofing specialists.

Dave at Norwood Roofing has just relaid our flat roof covering which was old and leaking. I was impressed by the communication (another roofer on this forum didn?t bother to text me back.) Dave came round the next day, arranged scaffolding for two days after that and the job was completed the following day. The work took one day, undertaken by Patrick but Dave was there in the morning and evening to oversee. They also regrouted/cemented/ made watertight my chimney pots (I learned a new word too ?flaunching?). Efficient, quick. Photos supplied by Dave pre and post look good to me. No leaks even in all this rain and snow. Cost ?3,300 (including scaffolding) which feels money well spent to get things watertight.

I see an earlier person has mentioned Dave wanting to be paid quickly - he did expect half to be paid upfront (fair enough) and did specify (which I agreed to) to pay ?the rest on completion?. I was a bit surprised that he actually meant immediately - as in within the hour of completing the work. So probably worth being ready to pay the balance that quickly.

I would recommend Dave and team & Id be very happy to use them again.

I would definitely recommend Norwood Roofing.

I emailed David on a Friday afternoon and he called me back within about 15 minutes and within the hour he was making his way up unto our to inspect our fibreglass roof.

The following Wednesday the scaffolding went up and the work was completed on the Thursday / Friday just in time for this lovely bank holiday rain we?re experiencing.

On the Sunday morning over the bank holiday, I realised that the missing slate on our extension hadn?t been replaced as we had spoken about. I dropped David a message and literally an hour later and beyond the call of duty, he turned up and replaced the missing slate.

Relieved to have the roof watertight and David and the team did a great job. Don?t hesitate to give them a call.

I highly recommend David and his team for all roofing and guttering issues. After last week's heavy rain, my guttering was completely blocked and rain splashing all down the side of the house. I have used David previously for roofing matters so called him yesterday (Sunday) to see if he could come this week to resolve the issue. In fact he called back within 5 mins and had arranged to come over within 30 mins. On a Sunday! He then unblocked the guttering, washed down my roof and checked the grids to make sure I would have no issues. He always cleans up after himself and is highly respectful of my property.

We discussed redirecting my guttering as it was clear to me that the current structure was not fit for purpose. He gave me a few options and we decided on one. Again I was prepared to wait, however he then returned first thing this morning before his other job had started to get it done, despite the drizzle. I now have a great solution and this is due to David.

I have no hesitation in recommending David of Norwood Roofing solutions and in fact have done so many times to family in the area. I like the fact that I can pay him via direct banking ie no trips to the ATM and I always get an invoice. His rates are reasonable and I like the fact that he takes time to explain. For roofing matters, you get before and after mobile pictures.

His mobile is 07412 000214 and his website is https://norwoodroofing.co.uk/.

    • This is quite a serious allegation. What evidence is there of this? Pressured how and by whom? This is quite a spin on ‘it’s been agreed with the emergency services’. They think the vehicles pictured driving through with partially covered plates are the result of ‘poor signage’ 🤔  If it is as they say ‘small numbers’ driving through the square, that doesn’t suggest that the signage is unclear. I mean who honestly believes it’s possible to drive through there without noticing the signs / planters (assuming you’re driving with due care and attention)?! 🤨  Also, haven’t ‘One’ opposed any improvements to the layout / landscaping and signage proposed by Southwark? It’s all a bit desperate. At the height of the LTN ‘controversy’ a number of co-ordinated ‘One’ groups popped up across London. It doesn’t feel like a local grassroots movement, but has all the hallmarks of astroturfing. The lack of transparency about it’s funding / sponsorship and structure does not help with this impression.
