applecore
HiWe have a small patch of "damp" in our kitchen (close to the floor) going vertically on a brick external facing wall. The paint has started flaking off but the wall appears to be dry. We would like someone to have a look at it and recommend how to fix it. Please PM me.Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/97776-wanted-damp-specialist/ Share on other sites

MirandaS
Hi allI can highly recommend Dave 07932505589. He has several recommendations on EDF, from myself and others. He has his own company and prices are reasonable, cheaper than large companies. I needed a large wall treated and no sign of damp since. Thanks M Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/97776-wanted-damp-specialist/#findComment-974432 Share on other sites
DirtyBox
Dave is very good, really knows his stuff and doesn't do anything that doesn't need doing (unlike some other operators who want to rip off your plaster and re-do it without addressing the root cause) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/97776-wanted-damp-specialist/#findComment-974437 Share on other sites
Josully
Just to add to Dave's (07932505589) recommendations on here - he recently visited my flat and has sorted out the damp in two rooms. He was very professional, turned up on time and got it all done with minimal fuss. I would certainly recommend him to others. PoppyParry
I can add to Dave's (07932505589) recommendations. I was quoted ?2,000 by Kenwood for damp work on one side of the living room. Because of the recommendations on here, I contacted Dave for a second opinion. He was quick in his assessment, honest and to the point. It turned out that it didn't need any damp work done, the readings for the living room ranged between 0.1 and 12 and Dave explained that he wouldn't worry about anything under 20 for an older property and that his own home read at 18. He was in and out within 15 minutes and didn't charge me a penny. His honesty saved me a lot time and money, I would highly recommend him. IAM
I can also recommend Dave from Plastercare 07932505589. He came quickly and at no cost to inspect damp identified on a Homebuyer Survey for a flat we are buying, and he gave a very reasonable quote for the minor work required.
