Any deep tissue massage recommendation?

Just reigniting this old thread to give another recommendation for Andy Koval. I saw his flyer and then read the rave reviews on the forum so decided to give him a go. Very glad I did!

Great deep tissue/sports massage helping to ease shoulder tension and mis alignment due to carrying my (heavy!) son.

It's nice to have a massage that feels like is actually doing something and is bespoke.

Agree he's reasonably priced.

I also highly recommend Andy - he is quite literally amazing. He put one perfectly placed finger on my shoulder and said 'I can help you' and I immediately knew, with absolute certainty, that he could. He had managed to locate the precise root of my shoulder and arm pain by just looking at my posture. He has an uncanny ability to feel the exact points on your body that need his firm yet gentle touch and is able to move everything back into their correct places smoothly and deftly whilst giving you tips on how to self-help at the same time. I cannot recommend Andy highly enough - a true talent with a giant heart and strong hands.

I came across this thread and the recommendations for Andy and had a massage by him today - I was blown away. He treated my really knotty shoulders and neck, locating trigger points precisely, the kind of massage that feels like it's addressing the underlying issues rather than just being superficially relaxing. But it was also super relaxing! I left feeling really energised and walking taller. It's been ages that I've had a massage that was so expert. Highly recommend.

    • Yes it would be easier, and I give a lot to the hospice shops, but for various reasons there are certain things I prefer to give to Oxfam. However I might go through the books and see if some could be donated more locally. I think in any charity shop staffed by volunteers, the reception you get must depend on the member of staff. The Oxfam bookshop have always been very happy when I've taken shedloads of books there in the past. On the other hand, I've taken things to the hospice shop that were received very grumpily when they hadn't even looked in the bag or asked what they were. It felt like I was being a nuisance and causing them more work. I don't remember a previous thread on here  about the Oxfam shop and parking, but that's possibly because it wasn't relevant to me at the time.
