Good morning East Dulwich

Just checking people's properties survived the high winds and rain last night

Fully expecting more than one tree down on lordship lane (see main discussion for details), a good few fences gone and cats out of place after hiding from the storm.

I awoke to a tree in my back garden...

I live in Ulverscroft Rd. and the tree is in back garden of house in Crystal Palace Rd.

I'm told it is/was an olive ?? which used to block out the sun for several hours a day.

It came down over night.. I have been able to contact the tenants who have been very cooperative about the situation.

The tree has snapped off at ground level.. so will not bother me again once it has been removed..

Oddly enough the middle trunk which has smashed throuh a high back fence is thicker than the base and will be very heavy.

I also lost most of my side fence and a fence post..

One of those things I suppose..

PS. Dont know about the roof.. I have a London (Valley) roof and cannot see it from ground level

We got back from an Easter break to have completely missed the storm but our back garden looks like the gnomes all had a rave before collapsing in drunken heaps. No trees down though thankfully.
