It must be true my Godmother resigned from the Lehman board in 2007!!

Less tongue in cheek....9/11 as a conspiracy, please!

A conspiracy of neglect by the intelligence services perhaps!

Like all good bullshit there's a loose foundation in truth - but I think this guy's interpretation of encounters and events has started wandering into delusional.

The two things that really stand about about conspiracy theorists is that at root they are both narcissitic and querulous.

It is far more appealing to conspiracists that 9/11 was perpetrated by Americans, because the alternative is too terrifying to entertain - that the US is not omnipotent, omnipresent and impregnable.

For many Americans world domination is their birthright - a genetic obligation ordained from on high. They stare squinty eyed at the other 96% of the world's population and see an inferior species.

Hence a New World Order of bankers is an extension of this - in their mind's eye they see Wall Street straddling the globe like a colossus, and they see Americans. It's a defence mechanism that relegates non-Americans to vassal status.

Vanity and a childish fear of foreigners feed conspiracy nuts, not a secret insight.

What is 290,000 views supposed to tell us? That the more views it has, then the more 'true' it is?

That was one of the poorest conspiracy videos I've ever had the misfortune to see.

Easties EL if you're going to promote this dross, at least do it with a little class ;-)

I totally understand, how that may of come across, very lazy post by me. I was just making the point that 290,600 views, which indicates a lot of people are interested in these theories or ideas that there is something more to it. Okay, it may of been one of the pooriest conspiracy theory video you've seen. Have you even seen one that might have any truth in it? Or is it all BS?

A cover up? to answer Santerme question, do I believe the video facts about 9/11? I can't say I believe in them all. Cause that would be foolish. I also don't believe in all of the official version we have been told by our well, news outlets and governments. So it's a bit of both.

But what I really love is how folk love to trash people (not anyone on here, media wise) who have an interest in conspriacy theroies. It's really great, makes me laugh. I kind feel like the guy, who said the Earth was round and not flat and being mocked in the olden times, but I also feel like the guy who believes in time travel. If that makes any sense. It may not.

Aren't conspiracy theorists at once puerile - boyish - and recidivist?

It smacks of post teen males who are enthralled with pre-enlightenment ideas of the man as the protector, but struggle to interpret the threats they face. The Galileo complex, the superhero with a unique insight, reflects this.

For most men, as they graduate through their twenties they realise that the bankers, the politicians, the civil servants that fill them with dread are no more threatening and no less fallible than they themselves.

For some others the threats they faced as teens are so insuperable they they fail to engage with the 'enemy', and consequently never learn how ordinary, dull, predictable and transparent real life is. Like Comic Book Guy in The Simpsons

Most conspiracy theorists I encounter are either men in their early twenties with peculiarly medieval egos, or older men with social dysfunction.

Which part of the theory propounded do you hold to be truthful?

Wow, how did you guess that? Your right! I'm in my mid twenties! However I did not get the whole medieval part. You know I'm a regular guy (maybe above average in certain things and certainly below average in others just look at my spelling and grammar) I won't get into the good deeds I in do in life and I certainly won't get into the bad things too, cause that would be too personal. But I will say the following.

My lifes great, I got a lovely house. I eat very well, I got Sky+ with all the trimmings, Plamsa TV. I've got money to go on holidays, live a cool part of London with plenty of nice bars and places to eat and shop. Life is very cool for me. But sometimes I wonder, sh*t man, there's a new life being born somewhere in the world today, with no hope, with no future. It's life is over before it even begins. I watch images and videos of war torn countries that they couldn't show you on the 9'Oclock news, because it would be too shocking and probably cause a public outrage and I'm pretty sure it would change the attitudes of a lot of people on life. Why? Why? Why God? I ask. But that's another thing all together, asking God!

Yea, I guess Huguenot is right about me and many other guys in their mid twenties who tend to look at conspriacy theories looking for answers at why there are many f**ked up things going around our planet. Like I said, when I view these sad images on my plush laptop with my super speed broadband, it makes me wonder how? But once I turn my laptop is turned off, I probably forget it for the best part of the day.

For sure it could be all bs. But sometimes it's not bad to think outside box.

I'm open to the idea that the World Trade Centre came down like a demolition job. There is building WTC 7 which also came down, but no plane hit it? There's plenty more to mention - of course, I admit 100% I could well be wrong.

But here's a great link explaining more.

Also, just because I am posting this, doesn't mean I believe it's gospel :-S

Om motorways the predominant cause of delays are 'ghost' traffic jams. They happen because if one person dabs the brakes, the car behind brakes that little bit longer because there's a drop in confidence in the driver ahead.

When that ripples down a thousand cars everyone is stationary, but there's no jam and no reason.

Most of the bad stuff in the world happens for the same reason - a coincidence of trivial issues that can't be solved because there was no substantive rationale behind the original crisis.

It seems illogical - if the traffic is stationary and there is no jam it's because someone's hidden it perhaps? A New World Order maybe?

Tragically there's often nothing to solve, nothing to see and no identifiable cause. Stuff happens. There's no hidden agenda.

My advice is to focus on those things that you can affect, don't let some crazy conviction lead you astray. If you want to be a hero, do it for your nearest and dearest.

So it is just being provocative you are aspiring to?

'Them' in service and Whitehall parlance are the SAS, you no doubt mean the Ministry of 'Certain Things'

Since prehistoric times the masses have been controlled and manipulated by the conspiracies of the ruling elite.

In Europe, the poor were kept in their place with myths about blue blood, divine appointment and the terrors of hell - conspiracies that served the interests of the ruling elite.

Conspiracies by vested interests are everywhere.

The public's interest in conspiracy theories merely shows that it is as gullible as ever - ripe for conspiring against.

    • Hi all, Wondering if anyone else in/around SE22 is also having the unfortunate luck of having Evri parcels delivered by a very rude individual? Whenever we have parcels delivered, our front gate is being slammed open and closed, ring doorbell is harshly banged (not pressed) followed by simultaneously banging on the door knocker and slamming the letter box multiple times. Someone is normally home by the time they come in the evening and never has to wait long for an answer. If we’re not home, we speak to them on the doorbell so we do find the actions of this individual unreasonable and rude.  We have tried a couple of times politely asking that they not do this but they are very dismissive and gives a passive-aggressive “have a nice day” reply.  Has anyone been able to contact Evri and successfully had any issues similar to this resolved? We have enough evidence through our doorbell footage but we are lost with what else we can do. We’ve tried asking politely but don’t want our gate or door damaged by someone who simply doesn’t care and lacks basic manners.    If anyone else is having this issue or has any advice on how we can report this, it would be much appreciated. After another dismissive reply to my concern this afternoon, I will be calling Evri tomorrow to raise a complaint. I have lost my patience with them
    • Corbyn was unelectable - he got trashed by Boris who was a buffoon. It was a good job too because I would have hated to see Corbyn and his rag-tag bunch of far-left university politics backbenchers try to lead the country through Covid.  It is completely understandable why Starmer and the Labour Party want to purge Momentum from within their ranks and Cllr McAsh has fallen victim of that.
