On a more seriouse note, if your pets, dogs or cats sit too close to the fires, their eyes could swell, and they,d look poorly, and you would think their is somethng raelly wrong with them, justwatch them first to see they are not too close to a heat source. For older people and children its always wise to invest in a good old fashioned firegaurd.

Seriously a lot of small caged animals die overnight when the temperature drops suddently. Guinea pigs are not hardy and should really be brought in if you cannot protect their hutch from the elements or give them sufficient bedding for them to keep warm.

Oh dear. And again. The possessive "its" does not require an apostrophe. Only the contractive "it's" (meaning "it is").

Yes i Agree they should be inside in this kind of climate,You cannot buy pets for the children, and then ignore the animals yourself, treating them like pest or a nuisance, You must at some point exspect them to enter your house on humane grounds,, ensuring you keep them apart from other aggressive pets in the house, Also learning the children compassion and responsibility,.

Thanks Miss, it won't happen again Miss, can I go and play in the snow with the punctuation now? :)

Going back to the OP'd thread, it is worth considering pets; we brought our Guinea Pigs in last year when it was really cold. As maybe says, just make sure their catered for.

Our family pets have been a much loved addition to our family.

Dear legal, have considered professional help? Sounds like a classic example of OCD. Or maybe you were an only child?

Hugs

Chick.

Our old cat used to sit too close to the fire sometimes in it's later years, we'd have to nudge it when it started smoking, poor old thing

The other thing you need to be wary of if this happens is the upstairs neighbour charging down and demanding poor old Tibbles takes her weed outside...B)

    • We had one that projected stars and played lullabies. It was a soft toy bee with a hard plastic back. I know we used it but can’t recall how effective it was.  What was brilliant was the Lulla sleep doll which has a heart beat sound. That was a critical sleep aid for the first couple of years.
    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
    • I don't know how spoillable food can be used as evidence in whatever imaginary CSI scenario you are imagining.  And yes, three times. One purchase was me, others were my partner. We don't check in with each other before buying meat. Twice we wrote it off as incidental. But now at three times it seems like a trend.   So the shop will be hearing from me. Though they won't ever see me again that's for sure.  I'd be happy to field any other questions you may have Sue. Your opinion really matters to me.
