Ideas for last minute get away in UK in August

It's all a bit last minute due to new arrival and baby, but we want to go away in first week in August in the UK with a 5 yr, 3 yr and 2 month old. We need something easy!! Any ideas greatfully received.... Thanks!!

Im a big fan of Cornwall (in particular north cornwall - Port Isaac, rock, padstow etc). Have a great holiday x

I've had many wonderful holidays in Dorset - we stay on the coast between Lyme Regis and Bridport - Chideock and Eype both lovely spots. It's about a 4 hour drive from London and as well as the beaches there is the children's farm, swannery and Subtropical gardens at Abbotsbury which are all great to visit.

The new forest is amazing and you could always do a day trip to the Isle of Wight while there

We've just booked a week to north Cornwall, staying in a house in Padstow. We managed to get quite a good deal through a last minute cancellation, but I did find a few apartments and cottages that were still available for the beginning of August.
