VP Removals - highly recommend!

We recently used VP Removals for a local move in Dulwich after seeing recommendations on EDF and they did a fantastic job.

Vitek and Peter and their team were very professional, easy to work with, and responded quickly to all of my queries. They packed up our entire house including cellar and loft space in about five hours (we expected it to take all day!) the day before the move, then loaded and unloaded on the day of the move just as quickly. They will even come collect the empty boxes afterwards!

Definitely recommend.

Another recommendation for VP Removals! I used them very recently after reading reviews here on the EDF.

I completed the form online at www.vpremovals.co.uk for a quote for a house move within London. I received the quote through quickly (which I found very reasonable) and was put in contact with Vitek and Peter who were really responsive, courteous and thorough. They arrived on time, loaded up the van quickly and were just as efficient at unloading at the new address. Nothing was a problem and nothing was damaged plus they were both very nice chaps! I would definitely trust them again with a move and recommend them.

Would highly recommend these guys, used them to move into my 2 bed flat. I couldn't be happier, efficient, worked quickly and extremely helpful!!

The van was clean and a lot bigger than I thought.

Considering how stressful moving is,it was actually made easier this time.

Thanks guys

We'd highly recommend Extra Mile Vans. Earl literally does go the extra mile to make your move run as smoothly as possible. He helped us with sorting out packing materials in the lead up to the move - visiting a couple of times to make sure we had what we needed - and made sure everything went smoothly and as stress-free as possible on the day.

A very hard worker, reasonable rates, and a great guy!

We are just sitting in our new house after moving today and thanking Providence for VP Removals - they were AMAZING. Turned up bang on time. Found a parking space like magic. Calm, friendly and kind (I was a bit stressed and they made me feel so much better). Nice to the cats. Packed up 14 years of life with no fuss. All boxes clearly and helpfully labelled. Not a single breakage. Consistently nice, never even raised an eyebrow when I was overwhelmed and didn't know where things went. Everything transported to our new house in a twinkle of an eye, used their initiative and are possibly telepathic.

after they'd gone, we realised we didn't know where my partner's MacBook was. Panicked. Rang them just in case they knew...thought they would say "we packed over a hundred boxes for you today - we have no idea" - but Vitek rang back to say he remembered AND REMEMBERED which box it was! Astonishing.

Absolutely excellent service and very reasonably priced. We are very grateful.

Has anyone used VP Removals for a big move? We are thinking of using them to move from our 5 bed house (full of stuff!) and they have quoted lower than other firms but just wanted to check they are up to the job.

Feedback from anyone's experience greatly appreciated.

Just to add another recommendation for Vitek and his team. We just moved from Peckham to Surrey from a 5 bedroom house with a lot of stuff! And Vitek and all his team worked so hard, were friendly and got everything done as they had promised, with no hassle for us and everything delivered safely to our new house.

I would also add that I also got quotes from a couple of the larger more known local firms who not only quoted considerably more, but one of whom was also very disparaging about smaller firms such as Vitek's, basically telling me that they weren't up to the job and I would regret going with them. I'm quite sure these firms would have done a good job too, but would have cost me a lot more and I absolutely do not regret using Vitek and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

    • Hmmm, millions of animals are killed each year to eat in this country.  10,000 animals (maybe many more) reared to be eaten by exotic pets, dissected by students, experimented on by cosmetic and medical companies.  Why is this any different? Unless you have a vegan lifestyle most of us aren't in a position to judge.  I've not eaten meat for years, try not to buy leather and other animal products as much as possible but don't read every label, and have to live with the fact that for every female chick bred to (unaturally) lay eggs for me to eat, there will be male that is likely top be slaughtered, ditto for the cow/milk machines - again unnatural. I wasn't aware that there was this sort of market, but there must be a demand for it and doubt if it is breaking any sort of law. Happy to be proved wrong on anything and everything.
    • I don't know how spoillable food can be used as evidence in whatever imaginary CSI scenario you are imagining.  And yes, three times. One purchase was me, others were my partner. We don't check in with each other before buying meat. Twice we wrote it off as incidental. But now at three times it seems like a trend.   So the shop will be hearing from me. Though they won't ever see me again that's for sure.  I'd be happy to field any other questions you may have Sue. Your opinion really matters to me.
    • If you thought they were off, would it not have been a good idea to have kept them rather than throwing them away, as evidence for Environmental Health or whoever? Or indeed the shop? And do you mean this is the third time you have bought chicken from the same shop which has been off? Have you told the shop? Why did you buy it again if you have twice previously had chicken from there which was off? Have I misunderstood?
    • I found this post after we just had to throw away £14 of chicken thighs from Dugard in HH, and probably for the 3rd time. They were roasted thoroughly within an hour of purchase. But they came out of the oven smelling very woofy.  We couldn't take a single bite, they were clearly off. Pizza for dinner it is then. Very disappointing.
