East Dulwich tremours?

Nope. Engine noise generally rattles the windows more. In this case it was more focused on the floor. I probably dreamed it, although very small earthquakes are apparently quite commmon in London. My only slight worry is that I may have actually been shaking rather than the floor.

From Wikipedia:

"Delirium tremens can sometimes be associated with severe, uncontrollable tremors of the extremities and secondary symptoms such as anxiety, panic attacks and paranoia. Confusion is often noticeable to onlookers as individuals will have trouble constructing simple sentences or making basic logical calculations. In many cases, people who rarely speak out of turn will have an increased tendency for gaffes even though they are sober."

Sounds like my biography. Not much of a drinker though. Having given it some more thought, I am inclined to blame our plumbing. Sorry about the unnecessary posting. My solipsistic experience of East Dulwich is probably not of general interest.

OMG a few weeks ago I woke in the middle of the night to what felt like an earthquake. I got up the next morning thinking that it would be reported on the news, but to my surprise there was nothing. My bf told me that I was going mad and i believed him lol.

I am soo happy that other people are just as mad as me and feel the imaginary earthquakes!

    • It's was a Sunday night, they might have had a low turnover and said to the kitchen staff finish and go home early as it saves on wages (shift workers are often paid for working hours) and had already started cleaning down. When a new order comes in they have to reset things up, prepare and cook and then clean down again after.  Quite understandable if the kitchen was shutting to be honest and as a business they react to demand rather than waiting to see if they get a sudden rush half an hour before closing time.  Agreed its disappointing for you, but I guess equally you could have called ahead to book and maybe things would have been different. At the end of the day it's a first world problem and you had alternative choices.
    • Does anyone have a bit of felt left from a project please? Thanks!
    • maybe anyone, anyone, who posts cliched doggerel such as "London has fallen" should just be ignored   Heads up: London has in no way "fallen" even with benefit of doubt that a poster may not know "London has fallen" is a trope used by racists, it's nonsense on it's own terms. But it IS a trope used by racists so if I was poster who had uniwttingly used that phrase I might reconsider
    • Another recommendation for Greg. He came the same day to fix under sink leak and pipework. Very professional and quick with a very fair price.  Reposting his number here too: +44 7955 656941
