  1. No moves in 24 hours Mornington Crescent!
  2. Wednesday is good for me.
  3. So are you really suggesting St John's Wood bearing in mind the 10 stations with one word rule? Referees - ruling please?
  4. We have visitors who probably won't want to come and play so if you need your Party version then you'll need to come and pick it up or give me a call and I'll meet you somewhere convenient! You're welcome to keep Articulate for as long as until I want it back!! You can tell Mr Mogs that the "official" Articulate rules are here: http://www.drumondpark.com/rules/articulate.php But not as much fun as our house rules IMHO! I'd also recommend Spit It Out but I don't have it - yet! It from the same people that made/distribute Articulate. The rules are (worringly) in their "Rules Archive" (http://www.drumondpark.com/rules/spititout.php) which kind of implied the game is no longer available but a little interweb research suggests it's now called "Don't Panic" and involves a Party Scrabble-type timer rather than a spinner. D
  5. Michael P - I think you'll find that was overruled earlier this year. So the sports amendment is still very much in play though I think most options have already been used (if I'm wrong and can anyone can prove it, then of course it's time to go YOU KNOW WHERE! Otherwise, for the next 10 moves, only stations with one word in their name are valid. Farringdon.
  6. OK. Well if you insist on those (though I don't think they've been officially ratified and personally don't play them myself, but in the spirit of community after last night): UPNEY! There was a lot more play in the Sports Amendment so I could legally have terminated the game much earlier. However, I shall be gracious and let it ride. Anyone up for the Anagram Law? So we're in Upney. Has anyone actually ever been there?!
  7. I haven't seen that move since the 80's. Nice. West Ham.
  8. Wembley Park. And Brendan's right - you need a valid reason for ending the game. And that wasn't one.
  9. Er - Sports Amendment guys. I'll give some latitude - maybe you cycle past them or something. Wimbledon.
  10. So the Gate Rules are out and the Sports Amendment is in play. Er, Cockfosters? (edited so often mainly because of last night's-invoked inability to use the shift key properly)!
  11. So: Mornington Crescent then!!
  12. My favourite ever collective noun is an "anthology" of pros - for a group of prostitutes! Bless my friend Barry for coming up with that!
  13. Seconded - it was a fantastic evening - thank you. Didn't get to meet everyone. Next time you need a person with a follow-spot so everyone can do a 10-second "My name is David and I post as David Mc and have lived in the area since 1999"-type intro!
  14. Don't worry about that! One of them is a team game that's quite fun - could get loads of people involved and help break any ice!
  15. Fantastic games everyone. Best I've played in ages. The Mudchute move in the first game had me laughing out loud in the office. Had to minimise PDQ!
  16. Er - I suppose it would be rude to bring games?
  17. I'm gay so I can go to Queen's Park I suppose?
  18. I had a prior engagement for a close friend's birthday but she's got 'flu and cancelled! So I'll come for a while at least!
  19. Now that's just silly (but technically valid if we are indeed playing the Heydock variant). So I think Arnos Grove is a clever move - don't you?
  20. Blimey!! Er - Swiss Cottage?
  21. I know this is going to be controversial but I've checked and it's legal - so don't start! THEYDON BOIS!
  22. I know most of you will find this boring but I'm a bit of a pedant. Finchley Central.
  23. Start again? I shall ignore the flagrant ignoring of the bird rule. I wasn't around to claim my win which should have been after LostThePlot's move to Canada Water. You all ought to know that you can only break out of the bird rule with a move to a District Line station with disabled access. Amateurs! Heron Quays (the rule is clearly in play again)!
  24. Bookmarked. Thank you.
  25. Canary Wharf (invoking the "stations that have to contain names of birds" rule!
