  1. I only scanned the email and letter. If they want ticket numbers then there's no way I can claim. What sort of person keeps that sort of trivial detail for FOUR YEARS?!
  2. I got that as well (and an email)! But I think you have to be able to prove that you were on the flights concerned and I'm not sure I have a way of doing that. Spark of inspiration - maybe air miles records are sufficient?!
  3. >....and shat at but never mugged. How does that work exactly?! :-S
  4. If you park privately, you don't need to tax the car at all - as long as it stays parked!
  5. For the sake of our easily-confused residents, I hope the Magdala has a 24-hour clock or at least moves to using it when publishing its opening times!! It is "meridiem". The prepositions "ante" and "post" in Latin take the accusative case. The accusative of "meridies" (see Wikipedia link above) is "meridiem".
  6. They wouldn't get wasted
  7. Were a shade of Ribena
  8. (and again - computer glitches)!
  9. . (ignore post - I f*cked it up)!
  10. Only moments from death
  11. Reminds me of an old joke. Goes along the lines of: Customer in cake shop: "How much are your gatox"? Assistant: "They're ?3.50 a slice and by the way, it's gateaux" Customer: "Oh well - in that case, bolleaux"
  12. I just wanted to say to Louisa that if she doesn't really like it here then she could always move to Tunbridge Wells. Or Bromley. Or Blackpool.
  13. While its liver was saying goodbye
  14. You should have done some thinking outside the box first.
  15. Stop it - that's too close to the knuckle. Anyway - what about added-value and does it comply with the mission statement and be shareholder-beneficial?
  16. Yes - if you stay on Vauxhall Bridge Rd, Grosvenor Place (round the back of Buck Palace), Park Lane and Edgware Road then it's free. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/roadusers/congestioncharge/whereandwhen/
  17. Might be able to make it for the quiz but not the Scrabble :'(
  18. I think you can get compensation for this sort of thing. Worth looking into.
  19. There are useful sites like these: http://www.broadband-help.com/ http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ http://www.dslreports.com/forum/ukbb Personally I use BT and have never had any problems.
  20. For some reason this thread puts me in mind of the South African (?) biscuits called Romany Creams!
  21. Wahaca is OK but I'm pretty much in agreement with this review on it: http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/reviews/10975.html
  22. And personally I'd kill for a decent "proper" Mexican restaurant. Not the typical Tex-Mex joint! If it were good, it would make ED a destination venue for it; there are lots of foodie websites out there bemoaning the lack of a good Mexican in London. Mestizo (www.mestizomx.com) is, I think, the closest there is - though I've heard good things about Green & Red (http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/reviews/10974.html).
  23. I think a cr?perie (mobile or not) is a great idea! I have coeliac condition (an intolerance to gluten) so if anyone does run with this, can you make the savoury galettes out of buckwheat flour like they do in most authentic cr?peries in France?! Cheers!
  24. Woody Allen.
