  1. Ok I'm near Honor Oak but I have had hardly any mobile phone reception for the last 3 days, it says emergency calls only, not registered on network, can't send or recieve texts, then it comes on with 1 bar so I lose reception again, is anyone else having trouble with their Orange phone? It's driving me nuts!
  2. Keston ponds?
  3. Ticks are harmful horrid things that can transmit lymes disease, so always seek medical advice, they are in the area, Peckham rye park dogs have been known to have them too, if you do remove the tick yourself don't handle it after, kill it
  4. I'm a dog owner and I had someone letting his dog foul outside my house too, he let the dogs go to the loo and it started about 3 doors away and past mine, I used to go out and pick it up alomost daily, one day my neighbour and I were outside and the guy came along, his dog did the deed and my neighbour told the guy to wait and he went in and got him a bag and told him "I think that's yours" or something similar, anyhow he has never left it agin! Also about 6 doors away from me, one of my neighbours has made a sign saying please pick up after your dog and they have nailed a pack of poo bags to the tree, which they seem to replenish regualrly, I haven't seen any poo for ages, good luck!
  5. Minkey that was lovely :)
  6. Bees, bee's, B's such a shame :( rain theory makes sense so sad
  7. I walk over Peckham rye Park everyday and I keep seeing lots of dead bee's on the path here and there and the grass, 1 bee at a time, but such a shame and I wondered why?
  8. The crow babies are venturing out of their nests now, so likely the baby was nearby and the parents were protecting it
  9. Hahahahaha no Peckham Rose, my days of back seat car stuff was years ago ;) but there were a few occasions, summer at dusk walking back to my car after walking the dogs that we did see a bit here and there ;)
  10. This was going on years ago in the car park ;)
  11. I think Keira that the signage on the gates is misleading, it looks like they are referring to the whole park, if I were a newcomer with my dog, then I would think it mean't dogs onlead in the whole park. Why should dogs be prohibited from the Sexby garden? On lead yes, prohibited no. I like to enjoy the Sexby gardens too but I do walk my dogs in their very occasionally, onlead, it's pretty. As to the council being too afraid of the dog lobby, well you tell me. Us dog owners are a massive part of the park and I abide by the rules where dogs are requested to be kept on lead, so I think we have quite a big say in what happens in the park. It's nice that we do have a voice and are considered :)
  12. The signs at the main gates are coming down, they have to "put a job request in" to get them removed, but they are coming down, very misleading.
  13. On One Born Every Minute last week, poor little lad born very ill :( he survived thank God, but they called him Conan :/
  14. Good idea about the packed lunch and the restaurent looked packed too when we were there, if going by train theres a bus that takes you right to the door, big HP bus 50p return or something.
  15. YES!I loved it, but I love the books and films, I think it was very worth it, I looked at EVERYTHING and I reckon it took me about 3 hours but it could be done a little quicker depending how thorough you are :) you have to book in advance and book a slot, my friend is taking her son soon and he is deaf, she has booked someone for free to take them on a tour and sign for him :) go and enjoy :)
  16. Mine is rotten!
  17. pepsi max for me....
  18. just to say, I don't walk on a bike track as such, I walk on a path and the bikes do sometimes come up fast, but there are also a lot of responsible safe cyclists as there are dog walking folk :)
  19. I make you right mummali, also though I would like to say, I make my dogs come and wait whilst cyclists/joggers are going by, if I hear them quick enough, some are so fast, some see me making them wait and nod of thanks or verbally thank me, nice, others just whizz past without saying a word, the worst culprits are dads at the front, with children on bikes behind, NOT ALL, some do say thanks, but if someone were waiting for me to pass and I had children I would teach them to say thanks in passing too, politeness costs nothing.
  20. I like em :)
  21. I wonder out of the 6,334 dog "attacks" how many of those dogs are excersised, socialised, etc or beaten, abused etc and bite back, out of 10 million dogs in the UK. MOST dogs are lovely and not aggresive, hope the OP is ok but "attacked"?
  22. :( thats so sad, you are very kind xxx
  23. YUK YUK YUK!
  24. I quite like em! My dogs don't though!
  25. Well it gets on my nerves..... while the OP has a point, rahrahrah WTH? Can't be arsed with it all!
