  1. From the way I read it, she is giving a very personal viewpoint, and being clear that that is the case. She doesn't say anything judgemental, or negative about BF in general, she simply says that she find the thought creepy, as she looks at her breasts as part of her sexuality, not as a functional thing. The rights and wrongs of that are debated all over the place, but IMO, they shouldn't be, because what one woman feels about her body, and whether she wants to BF, is absolutely nothing to do with what another woman thinks. The benefits of BF, and proven, but a woman's decision as to whether she wants to do it or not is very much her own, and shouldn't be judged or questioned. Also, I think the fact that it's The Sun's version of the story does kind of inflate it somewhat. The 2 personal accounts are The Sun's, not from the original article. It's just sh!t stirring from a crappy tabloid rag as far as I can tell.
  2. Yes, damn these evil selfish women for making an individual choice about their own bodies and lifestyles! Sorry, but that is how these responses come across.
  3. Yeah Mrs Keef works for NHS, and would have been better off on mat pay, even after tax.
  4. Fair enough, apologies. With regards the crossing the road thing, I have to say, it's never crossed my mind. I've crossed the road (when I was younger) to avoid gangs, but never even thought to cross the road because I might be worrying someone else. Perhaps now I will in the future, but again, it's a sad state that this should be necessary, and that women should feel so afraid when ou alone. I've always gone for the keeping my distance, or the friendly smile approach.
  5. Same as Mrs Keef, they'd mesed about with her contract for so long, that by the time she went on leave, she'd been permanent about a fortnight too little... Kind of makes you wonder...
  6. I never said it impinged on my rights as a man, so please don't put wrds in to my mouth. I just think it's a very sad state of affairs that people feel it's necessary to do that.
  7. How much were they ryedalema?
  8. That would be cool Moos, thanks!
  9. Thanks DM (Lovely to hear from y by the way). They lok nice, I just wonder if they'd stay on. Guess I could get one of those strings you can attach to the arms.
  10. Some dog owners are just stupid. Recently a dog jumped at my daughter in the park, whilst she was in her buggy. I'm sure the dog meant no harm, but she got a right fright, and the owner came walking along about a minute later, and said "not to worry, he doesn't bite", like that makes it okay for it to be running around out of the owners sight, and jumping at kids in buggies. I love dogs, but dog owners are a very mixed bag. With regards the OP, sorry to hear about your experience. With regards the title to this thread, jimmy-two-times got in there first with Which was the first thing I thought too.
  11. Can anyone recommend any good sunglasses for a 1 year old. She is terrible for keeping hats on, and doesn't much like uncream on her face, so we'll be needing a pair that wrap around, to stand any chance of them staying on.
  12. In this heat, we tend to go just for the nappy, or maybe a sleevelss vest for our 1 year (14 month) old. That said, she usually ends up in bed with us, so less likely to get cold in the night when it cools down.
  13. cate I think stevebailey is just having a bit of fun. To be fair, your "I watched through the trees" line did make me laugh, and leave you open to a bit of teasing. It's an interesting point you make about men walking behind women. I do usually try to take over, or drop back if they walk fast, but then as I'm gaining, I think "do they think someone is coming up behind them to attack them?" It's difficult. To be fair, I wouldn't cross the road, I don't think I should have to just because I am a bloke out at night.
  14. A nurse was telling Mrs Keef that she'd had to stop all of a sudden due to a health issue, and she did the hot shower thing, as it would stimulate the nipple and releive some of the pressure (at least I think that's what she meant). Oh, and if anyone should chastise you, tell them to f**k off. simple.
  15. Oh, and I notice no word from Rooney. How long is it since our superstar has scored? Go Ghana!!!! (at least they managed to beat the US, which is more than England mnaged!)
  16. Totally outclassed, and the Germany captain is right in saying that the England players thought they were better because they're more famous. I notice only Joe Cole has come out and said they've let the fans down. Fair play to him for that. I wish Lampard's goal had stood, then there would be no excuse for them, and the scoreline still would have been at least 4-2. Thing is, in the past I would have been pleading with them to come back and win it, right to the end. But yesterday I laughed whe Germany got their 4th.
  17. Did they also try and sli in 5 copies of the Daily Mail?
  18. Do you shop with Sainsbury's online by any chance? The whole 1 item per bag thing is what made us stop using them. Now use Tescos, who bring it through in crates, so no bags at all.
  19. Drunk pikey types singing and basically being annoying in the A&E waiting room. Sorry if anyone finds the word pikey offensive. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_1jjykKVD2_s/R1L_QqfaYXI/AAAAAAAAAC0/6A_F6kYcwCs/s1600-R/PIKEY.gif W@nkers!
  20. Meeting finished at half time, and the centre invited us to join their bbq and free beer party. Sweet.

Not in this case. It's not a meeting, as in sitting in a meeting room, it's me and a couple of others having to prepare for a ministers visit tomorrow morning, and the others seem completely oblivious to the fact there is a world cup happening. To be fair, they let me get away with absolute murder most of the time, and have been good to me, so can't really moan, it's just a bugger that this minister is coming tomorrow morning. Basically, it's all the Tories' fault.
  22. Anyone been with a younger kid (15 months)? We're going to WOMAD with our daughter this year, and I am wondering what it will be like. My previous festival experiences (Glasto / Reading and so on) have basically involved lots of drink and naughtier things, and coming home to sleep it off for a couple of days. I suspect this uyear may be somewhat more sedate...
  23. My office called a meeting for 3pm.
  24. People calling absolutely pointless meetings at the same time as England are kicking off tomorrow!!!!!!!! So much for "working from home" in the afternoon :(
  25. Can't believe no one has got Gazza in their worst 5. I agre it's a shame Big Ron has never been given another chance. Made a huge error, but all in all, I liked him.
