    Normally an event that looks as big as this is 1. A public Event, 2. Publicised 3 Consulted On 4 Stewarded. None of these things seem to have happened. 9.00 on a Sunday Night is quite late. Though luckily not in school time.

    Decisions are not taken by a Person. They are decided by committees, Full Council and some delegated powers. There was a Consultation and Ali himself admits he helped get it cancelled by raising some problems. I have also posted on the appropriate committee members Local Forums. Lets hope Mr Barber manages to help get an event off the ground rather than cancelled next next time.

    Only if said Councillor is part of the planning process. For example it would be perfectly proper for a Councillor to campaign against Mc Donalds or A bookies if they saw it damaging the community.     I don't see what money the 'Government' will get from this planning application? Now the Council could make some cash by refusing and then taking money for a new application but the likelihood of a very expensive planning enquiry should stop them refusing "Just to save money" Money for the Government? Sheer Fantasy
