  2. Hi Kat.. Can understand exactly were you are coming from it is such a worry when someone so close to you is drinking heavily , not only for their safety but for you an your little one too. My brother was an alcoholic and was on a downhill spiral for years ,he started by drinking from work with friends. At the time he had 4 young sons his wife never knew what state he would come home in , head injuries , cuts bruises one time he actually hit his head so bad that he lost his taste and sense of smell. No matter what my sister in law tried he was in denial that he had a problem. It got so bad that eventually she ashed him to leave. Which give him the leeway to drink to excess. Sadly he passed away in august aged 41 it has left the family totally devastated but he just wouldnt accept any help from anyone we did try with rehab and counselling but he just would not stick it out he had gone to far and was so ill if he never consumed alcohol . Alcoholism is an illness and once you are on that downhill spiral it is very difficult to breakaway. Can you husband go without alcohol or do you think he is dependant on it , does he admit to you that he has a drink problem ? He has to recognize that there is a problem himself before you ave any hope of resolving the situation . I personally dont think you have any worries with your baby at the moment because he is so young. Although its not the ideal atmosphere to be living in for both of you . My brothers boys although a lot older adored their dad until the day he died and still do. Not one of them has a drink problem surprisingly. All i can advise is that you get help sooner rather then later before the situation worsens. Good luck hope it all works itself out x
  3. I put my daughters phone through a complete wash cycle...... never to work again , and also a very unhappy 13 year old !!
  4. hi sarz, I am sorry but i have to agree with everyone above,we have gone for the past 4 years and it is very expensive to eat there,we are 2 adults and 2 children and the cost of a evening meal was always around ?80-?100 and we are not drinkers!!!,by the 3rd year we obviously knew how expensive it was so we took cereal bars and crisps etc with us to cut the cost down,if you are staying in one of the disney hotels then you will be bed and breakfast, the breakfast has quite a wide range and most of the brits was making up petit pan rolls with ham and cheese and also taking chocolate croissant's,fruit and yoghurts for lunch because its expensive in the parks, all of the food there is fast food (burgers, chips hotdogs) lunchtime in the parks worked out roughly 35 euro (?28) and 5 euro for a soft drink so over the 4 days we saved just over ?100 just on lunch,if you are not going over there with much money then this is the best advise i can give you, i hope this helps, GOOD LUCK!!!! Tony

  6. Have spoken to the lady owner of these two dogs while out walking in peckham rye park. Was shocked at out skinny these dogs were so could,nt help myself but to ask. The very nice ,friendly lady told me that they are very elderly, 14 years old, brother and sister and they are italian greyhounds she said that they eat like horses but dont gain weight. They are very happy little dogs, one is blind but they seem to enjoy their walks. It's quite funny to watch the pair of them. The lady seemed very genuine to me with nothing to hide.

  17. My dog was not running around of leash by the cafe, in actual fact he was fastened up outside the cafe the problem occured when i released him to exercise him on the rye as many dog walkers do,seems to be the only place now to let them run without mortifying certain people! In a matter of a split second he back tracked and jumped the fence. Although i do not have to justify myself to anybody. If he was a vicious dog he would of been on a lead and muzzled but he is not. Or shall we just muzzle all dogs now and don't let them off thier leads at all. I know lets just ban dogs from the park altogether, im sure this would put a smile on certain folks faces. I have walked dogs in peckham park for the last 20 years with no trouble whatsoever up until this past year or so, i think some people have got to much time on their hands.
  18. Admittedly it was my dog in the play area which was closed by the way. If you had observed a little longer you would of seen that i got him under control, he actually was in pursuit of a squirrel and jumped the fence as dogs do ! Did you also note the children in there was they yours ?
  19. just to set the record straight catalyst i have just returned from peckham rye with my dog monty, and it is not the dog in question...my dog is not aggresive and is not a bull breed either, i suggest before you jump to conclusion you get your facts right !
