    Car clamping

Is there a time limit on when you can try to claim back your fees I was done just before christmas by Drakes, however i did have a ticket which i had stuck in my glove comparment (which is a mess) went on holiday totally forgot about it. Then awoke one morning to my car being clamped, prior to this i had not recieved any notice from them, its more the breakdown fees i would like to claim back. they too clamped the car before knocking when i asked why they hadn't knocked she said it was because of the time of morning and they don't like to disturb children.

I too heard it was a little girl and that sadly she died. Really hoping this isn't the case, my thoughts go out to her family either way because she would've sustained awful injuries if she has survived.
  3. I'm travelling soon and will be trying the prepaid cashcard as it has been recommended to me by many people. They're normally obtained from a newsagents or online and can be topped up in many different locations.
  4. I've lived in East Dulwich for over 30 years, living just off Barry road for the last 4 years and this is the first time i've ever heard of this, it sounds excellent. Can anyone run? I may just take a walk out to Barry Road to cheer everyone on, drinking and walking rarely works for me so i haven't a hope in hell of running after some booze... will train for next year...lol lol Good luck everyone who is running.
  5. OOooo Pez, your going to get it for that last sentance, wait til the forum kings and queens see it..lol lol
  6. Bastard, people that do this type of thing really get me annoyed. Hope you do get your purse back but as it is a name brand one he's probably given it to one his friends or sold it depending on its condition. fingers crossed.
  7. As I said I do like it, but do agree that it may encourage others to follow suit, and how on earth will this encourage breast-feeding?
  8. I spotted it yesterday, I like it too, no doubt others won't!! Although I wouldn't like it on the side of my house.
  9. I think most if not all of the roads leading off of Lordship lane are the used to cut through.
  10. Last night, well this morning at 2.30am I saw two guys in high viz jackets going into a garden on Friern road, they parked a rusty looking van on the corner of underhill (by the P13 bust stop), walked round the corner and entered a garden, I think they must have been disturbed because as quick as they entered the left, only this time walking quiet fast. They jumped back in the van and speed off down friern towards the peckham rye park, which I thought was odd as the road will only taken them back on themselves. I tried to get to the number plate but unfortunately wasn't able to. if this isn't to do with ID theft, do you think they could be lifting bikes from gardens, due to the amount that has gone missing of late they could be loading them in a van.

I fully agree, I live on Friern and have never witnessed anyone speeding up or down the road, as they do in other neighbouring roads. I would hate for these bumps to be raised as they do give you a good jolt as it is.
  12. My Mum lives on Lytcott Grove and it seems at least 2 other people on Lytcott have had bikes stolen this week as well.
  13. corner of underhill, started about midnight right up until 2am or even a bit later then there were helicopters out.
  14. Did anyone see or hear the disturbance on Friern last night?? loads of shouting and Police presence??
  15. I heard it all and was wondering the same, they were up and down the road, they kept turning around and changing directions i.e going part way up underhill and back again. Are you pullig our leg Saila?? that's too funny if you're not.
  16. ^ Meld: my thoughts too, 5k empty homes - that's appalling.
  17. There was a notice posted that the water may be turned off tomorrow (20/04/10), from memory I think it's between 10am-3pm. I will check when I get home and update if the time is wrong.

The same ones also operate in Peckham, slight change in tac-tics though, the women send the children into macdonalds and Burger king to cry and beg for money from parents sitting in there with thier children, seeing a child in distress softens them up and they dish out. The children then take the money to the mothers who are also begging or trying to sell gold to people on the street, these one - Homeless my ar*e!
  22. I must be heartless, we had this woman knock our door a few years ago in Camberwell, I sent her packing knowing from the start it was a scam, if she had money on her mobile to be speaking to her husband, she would have money to call a relative / friend to come and help her out. 9 times out of 10 these callers to the front door needing money whatever the story are part of a scam, so better to be safe than sorry, they all get sent packing - that is if I open the door in the first place.
  23. I live on Frienr and have noticed it on my car too.
