  1. I know what you mean Keef, I'd have thought that my archetype would be someone like Nora Zehetner* of Brick and Heroes fame, and I'm marrying a blue(when they're not green) eyed blonde, well, ginger.
  2. OOoooooh no no no. The Michael Praed/Jason Connery Maid Marion was much better. Not to mention of a copper persuasion.
  3. I with you Keef, though I'd rather be knawed to death by cockroaches than ever have to suffer Ally McBeal again. Sorry Cassius, haven't seen it. As you can tell I haven't watched that much since 1988 ;-) Sharon Stone's pretty classy, not sure about many of her characters though.
  4. not to mention one of the best english accents from a yank I've heard. Much better than that nasal horror that gwinnie and co keep learning for their roles.
  5. Keef, whatever you do don't watch her own directorial attempt to recapture the sunrise 'magic' in 2 days in Paris. Mrs mockers rented it and how we both regretted that. A romantic comedy with no romance, comedy or point. Back to good'uns for men in their 30s. Blake's seven threw up a number. A young Glynnis Barber as pretty but tough Soolin, the domineeringly sexy Servalan, the feisty Cally to name but a few, all in spandex. Buggered if I had the foggiest idea what it was all about though.
  6. Santanico Pandemonium any day (or night) of the week!!
  7. She will always be to me. Well, you get the picture.

    RedStar!

Living, brilliant, ?3 for a lime & soda. Think I may give it a miss.
  9. You had me on hello Keef
  10. Just Wow!!! Rodeohead, a sort of bluegrass tribute to Radiohead
  11. I love the idea that Jack Bauer is a REAL man. I hate to break it to you love.... ;-)
  12. OK, not photography, but. I remember reading about this chap many years ago when he was still young. He's autisitc but in that savant (though far from an idiot) way he can draw the most stunningly detailed pictures from memory. Amazing work
  13. Aaaaaaaanywa, Stevenage got a crucial 3-2 win at home to York. It's very tight for those play-off spots in the conference. Could I be seeing them at Wembley 2 years in a row?
  14. a guffaw of cartoonists, nice. I like a good collective noun.
  15. Class Jah, class!! little carl carlton competition aint nothing little ones oh mj A couple of 'little' ditties, an old one and a not so old, but happy little one
  16. Torres is rubbish, Ronaldo is rubbish. I wouldn't go applying for Hansen's nearly vacant job* any time soon. *the BBC pundit one, not the endorsing everything that ever existed one.
  17. Bertie Ahern's resignation barely made a dent in the news yesterday, so I'm glad someone is covering it properly.
  18. That's a bit unfair on the lovely Colwyn Bay or the beautiful Roman walls of Chester isn't it?
  19. "Ref had a good view of the incident you say, so why didn't he give it then?" Strangely you've answered your own question. It's a subjective thing, but i watched the replay several times and I guarantee you that had I been in a normal environment and Kuyt had done the same thing to me I wouldn't lying prone, I'd be looking at him not a little nonplussed....on two feet. Quite Keef quite. cool/book T9 syndrome?
  20. *ahem* that was more aimed at Atila, I was rather surprised by the levels of indignation and invective for ultimately a comparatively tame and incident free game. I guess when the stakes are high... And yes, as I said last night it was a definite penalty, but the replay shows just how easily he went down and the ref must have had his reasons as there was no clearer viewpoint than his.
  21. How odd, I thought I watched a largely good tempered game last night with no more gamesmanship than you'd normally expect to see (ie too much, but that's the sad spectacle that is top level footie these days; give me a comedy Hamlets game and cheap beer any day of the week). Torres was largely marked out the game, which of course opened up space a few times for the kuyt and gerrard to exploit. It was an interesting game without being particularly exciting for a neutral. In fact I think I may have done a sudoku in the last 15 minutes. As for diving, had Hleb not gone down like heifer in a slaughterhouse he might have actually been awarded the penalty. Ref had a very very good view of the incident! Most encouraging thing for me was Walcott, he may yet become the player we hoped he might! It must be tiring being quite so angry the whole time ;-)
  22. Yep I'm up for nets. How about once it's warmed up just a teency bit more.
  23. I'm not promoting this film with this trailer, but for anyone who saw the infamous Tom Cruise Scientology thing, this is quite superb. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpoWoZnm4Bw
  24. I've a 32" for about 12'. Does the job fine, as you say, too big and it becomes the prominent feature of the room. Unlike MacGabhann's where the room is a feature of his telly ;-) Best game of Guitar Hero EVARR though!!
