  1. Top 40 player wages in the world (click to enlarge --- and NO, that's not spam) Most overpriced out of that lot, though frankly it's all a bit ridiculous? Got to be Kewell or Bent for me.
  2. I'm not sure I should Moos, just having a look made me go all hot under the collar, but you're not wrong. Another thread reminded me of this'un for the over 30s.
  3. he he - cross post.
  4. Can you imagine what that building would be like in 20 years (actually more like 2) time when the stairwells stink of urine? Part of me is thinking "cooooooooooooool" though. Probably the same part that loved Logan's Run. I take it we will be able to get a scantily clad Jenny Agutter teleported into every room, yes?
  5. This one was rather nice http://www.artlebedev.com/everything/defendius/
  6. Ha ha Keef, actually she was hot!!!! Great legs. And Brendan, ooooh yeah Sarah Jane Smith rocked! (anothe dark one AnnaJ)
  7. Agreed, terrible picture, but yeah she was pretty good back in the day when stonewashed denim, a tight perm, pink headband and fluorescent socks was actually a good thing :-S Mind you, it still was last time I wandered through Shoreditch, dear oh dear.
  8. There something about Betty.
  9. No idea why i'm in an old choon mood today, i just am underground resistance final frontier The Half Man Half Biscuit glossray on the Tindersticks Tindersticks:End-of-the-night music for smoky halls.
  10. Fay.. Calley .. or Clare Scott?!
  11. He's from Atl?tico you know B)
  12. Ooh tough one. I'm leaning towards Ros too, not sure why. The voice is part of it, and I just like no nonsense strong personalities in women, curiously it makes for a much easier life than a weak easily dominated character. That or Sarah Jane, one of my first crushes. Let's face it she was gorgeous 30 years ago, she's gorgeous today, can't go wrong with that. How weird, just looked at Trisha Yates to remind myself of what she looked like, and can't believe how young she looks, she were quite a bit older than me back in them days.
  13. Aciiiiiiiiiiid hardfloor the trill acid theme
  14. lovely lad indeed, saw him live at Brixton, great fun. I think Chinese Children is up in the music room somewhere.
  15. It wasn't so very long ago that we (in the loosest sense of the word) were hanging effigies of David Beckham, and now I suspect he'd make it into the House of Lords if it was open to the public vote. He's still an irksome little git (witness his exasperation and disbelief every time he failed to be awarded a foul for a weak pratfall last night) but seems to be showing signs of maturity. If Rooney can forgive him, that's good enough for me; time heals all wounds Atila.
  16. You don't have to be civil Atila, but must you sound like Danny Dyer ;-) Still waiting for you to admit Ronaldo's a good player.
  17. Soldiers of Argentina and citizens of Serbia. We were pretty keen to avoid dropping bombs on Bosnia as we had so many soldiers there trying to feed said citizens, here's the whole sorry story which you can borrow if you're interested. I think it was mostly Clinton who pushed for the Bosnia bombings...but we digress.
  18. Anyone thinking about going may want to sort out a visa sooner rather than later if they qualify. If you want it sorted on the day at the Russian Consulate it's 120 odd quid. It goes down to ?30 a couple of weeks in advance. Oh, and they charge Irish passports less than UK ones *gnashes teeth*
  19. Sooooo responsible travel aside, good alternative places to go? From personal experience Argentina was pretty darned amazing and pretty free of the usual tourist mob. Closer to home Sarajevo/Bosnia was entirely tourist free when I went, and easily one of the most interesting, friendly and lovely, if a tad pockmarked, places I've visited. Mark's been more recently so you ask him what it's like now. Apparently there are ATM machines there now :D
  20. I'm no cyclist siduhe (hello btw) but here was some messing about in google View Larger Map
  21. Go on Atila, just for me admit that Roanldo is a good player, and will be next year, and isn't a one trick pony. Even El Pais had nothing but superlatives for the lad today. Roughly translated "Cristiano Ronaldo's got it all: If a player tries to climb him, he'll dribble past/dodge it, if he gives him a metre not to get sucked in by the sidestep, he'll mark a run, and if all else fails he'll do it with a foul" (I'm guessing here, not sure what 'crack the leather' means).
  22. Basically this government has been all about image and spin, so by any measure this was, as an earlier poster said, an own goal, regardless of the facts of the case. Since when have New Labour been into facts (WMD anyone)?! Anyone looking for another own goal (or not as was the case) should read the first story in today's Private Eye about the photo-op that wasn't, between Brown and Sarkozy at the Emirates. Classic!
  23. Isn't this a pub only clash? (except for those of you with sky obviously) I think I'm heading down the EDT despite having a horrible stinky cold that's threatening to ruin my last week at work and week off :(
  24. Great lines from the opening [elbow] track Starlings "I sat you down and told you how the truest love that's ever found Is for oneself You pulled apart my theory With a weary and disinterested sigh So yes I guess I'm asking you To back a horse that's good for glue"
  25. that's the fella
