  1. Regardless of how you may feel about the stance of this op ed, you can't help but be shocked to the core by the dreadful tsunami of metaphor and simile
  2. ignoring the usual youtube quality video guff, I rather liked this tango Olor de esp?ritu adolescente
  3. Three man co-op on legendary when my box returns from the fixers!!
  4. Well if the superlative *ahem* Robson and Jerome don't make it, I'll eat my hat!!
  5. as usual, the daily mash disguise fact as satire http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/celebrity/tom-cruise-now-terrifyingly-insane-20080117665/
  6. Well done that man. I've done it on Heroic and it's such a step up initially. Legendary however is another matter entirely!!! http://www.hyperblastgame.com/lang/en/?sssdmh=dm11.102937 Can advertising rip off Wipeout more blatantly? Still...for lunchtime...
  7. LOL!!! "No no, don't look at him, just call the police"
  8. Love it Simon!!! Keef, no Warmwaters in the UK, I'm not buying that one! Incidentally you're one of only 3 in the UK, and dear Sean is one of 11782!! I, thanks to daft parents and their idiotic thoughts about names, am unique. http://www.yournotme.com/
  9. Judging by the posture, he might just be touching cloth.
  10. You could be right there Sean, and you're definitely right there Jah. The video is causing much amusement in our office at the moment.
  11. Of course it's ok, each to their own asset. I just thought it was a watchable enough but mediocre film, so never really understood the hype and plaudits. Great performance by Dillon, I've said on another thread that his was the only complex character in the film and he rose to the challenge.
  12. This is freaky http://defamer.com/344987/the-tom-cruise-indoctrination-video-scientologists-dont-want-you-to-see Horrible, horrible, the glazed look of those who know they are possessed of the only reality that others just don't get. Have they got an apocalyptic streak yet? Most cults, whether 16th century anabaptists or Heaven's Gatists or whoever, end up with an apocalypse scenario once promises of revelation and/or salvation in ones lifetime don't come to pass. Yeah yeah, the history books will be full of SPs in the chapter entitled 'post millennial loons'. I think the LOH thing might refer to Operating Thetan*'s immunity to disease, cancer ageing et al, but don't quote me. Idiots. Incidentally the top level is described thus "A thetan who is completely rehabilitated and can do everything a thetan should do, such as move MEST and control others from a distance," Now, what could I be referring to? ;-)
  13. not necessarily a great photo...but nutter!!!!
  14. The news have always been a bit glitchy, especially following loungings and so on, but I've been getting a few timeouts as well this week.
  15. "but it all boils down to a bunch of stereotypes trapped in a duff, sub-Magnolia (and that was another over-rated film) story-telling structure" Again with you, you missed paper-thin between the 'of' and the 'stereotypes'
  16. With you on that BM.
  17. My mum used to work with a Dr D'Eath at the lister...also in Stevenage. Explains alot!!!
  18. It's pretty quiet these days, but retains a good few of the locals. You're right the selection is always first class and the Landlord's a nice chap. Definitely worth a visit and quiz on thursday's I think. I don't really go often enough as it's a bit out of the way for most of my friends but I do like popping in from time to time for a decent pint.
  19. I didn't find any manufacturers of devices that turn water into coffee in the new year's honours lists. Are you being completely straight up with us JC? (ooh, I bet that phrase was used once or twice in the past)
  20. 300 games?!?!?!? Blimey, no wonder you've been quiet on the posting front of late, leave alone your work!

  22. "a reliable sauce tells me that it is to be an Italian restaurant." Bolognese perchance? That's good though, I rather miss some good honest Italian food in the area.
  23. My defences weren't up at all. I rather thought she missed on the even-handedness that Loach offered; there was a certain muted sympathy for troops who just wanted to go home, brutalised by years in the trenches. He also portrayed the grey areas, the divided society well. It was far from the black and white portrayed in L&F (bad fascists, bad stalinists) so was a more sophisticated political statement for that. Like I say, it did it all correct on the surface, just failed to get under the skin. But as I also said, perhaps that was just me.
  24. "Thats him, bottom right hand corner of the photo" Are you sure it's not...
