  3. I was just giving advice as to what to do with a 9 year old during school holidays as per Pugwash’s original post. I like to keep it simple Sue.
  4. Well done to you for your input over the years to your family Pugwash but it does make for a very exhausting read! Maybe take a stand back and let them get on with it!?
  5. Just a thought but after reading through these posts it looks like the OP is trying to do too much to the detriment of their own health. I’ve been there and done it with family members and wished I’d done it differently. Maybe just take the grandkids to the local park for a picnic?
  6. Totally agree Nigello! I was driving through the backstreets of Camberwell this morning and then on to the main junction at Camberwell Green and in the space of 10 minutes witnessed at least 10 cyclists jumping lights and pedestrian lights. Winced a few times as they missed pedestrians or were very nearly hit themselves by cars/buses!

  9. Yes, used to love visiting Melbourne Grove residents and the local shops but that’s all in the past now due to road closures etc! Labour run councils do not listen to local people. Just look at what has happened during the past 4/5 years in Dulwich Village. Like a ghost town now!
  10. Why would the OP approach Southwark now the damage has been done? Very shocking!
  11. But you started this thread back in 2023 James! You must have known this site would be going ahead? Now you’re saying 12-18 months.
  12. I don’t understand 🤔 why would you want to avoid a new King Charles III post box? Shouldn’t it be something to celebrate in East Dulwich?
  13. My other half went in today and also noticed there were no prices on the groceries. Maybe they’ve not got round to that yet or it’s just a new idea. I can imagine prices would be on the higher side than your normal joe blogs grocery but could be proved wrong.
  14. You’re absolutely right Spartacus. Southwark council could have forward planned this a bit more but maybe it’s another plan for more stupid road plans for them to put in place. The new road/pavement design along the M&S and train station is terrible with pavements suddenly jutting out for no reason causing unnecessary stress for cars and bikes and pedestrians. I had the misfortune to be caught in traffic on Wednesday when the roadworks suddenly came into place. It took me 25 minutes to drive from Sainsbury’s dog kennel hill to the goose green roundabout! Cars stuck in lane for ages but then buses appearing on the left bus lane expecting to be let in. Of course this causes mayhem especially if some car drivers just let the buses in as the bus lane has been closed off. Since all the road closures in the area there are no detours in place like there used to be. Hopefully after this disastrous Labour government and local Labour policies we can reverse road closures and restore access for all.
  15. Why it a strange first post Sue? We all have to start somewhere! These kids have created a situation where they have been very unpleasant. Surely their physical appearance etc is a key factor in identifying them? I don’t understand. Are you defending these kids?
  16. You’ve made a mistake on all three.
  17. So why do you need to respond to this one Mobutu.? There’s no need to bring grammatical errors into the fore.
  18. Hope all the ‘high streets for people’ events went well! Very short notice probably for people living in the area and on a very hot day! James McAsh just doesn’t know what to do next with Southwark Council Tax payers money. He advocates the few streets in the area that has a bus service and then shuts the routes down! Very annoying for people who want to go about their daily business and have already had restrictions brought in by McAsh.
