  2. Anybody who has lived in this area long enough will tell you that the Dulwich Festival is nothing like it used to be. I've been disappointed over the past couple years {when I have been}. I'm hoping this year will be an improvement to the last...
  3. Fatcats, Are you encouraging your kitten to use the front door out into the road?
  4. Thank you for the heads up, buddug! x
  5. Thank you Ada for keeping us informed & for also contacting the police!
  6. Pannej, the-e-dealer was asking you whether it was a specific thread. How do you know this woman 'runs one of the forums' & which forum? Contact the admin. There is nothing we can do about it.
  7. Oh my god, this is just heartbreaking ='[ So angry about this 'Blue' dogs owner. I think I would have made sure I got his details. :X

  9. Hi Ludoscotts, very creepy indeed. Have you thought about contacting the police on their non emergency number? It's definitely worth reporting.
  10. I very rarely have a reason to use this crossing, but last month I used it alot & had a different problem; Every time I crossed, a car would stop, smack in the middle of the crossing, at the green light!! The drivers looked oblivious, as if they hadn't a clue. It was such a silly sight, & I had to walk around it to get to the other side. lol.
  11. Bunty, where abouts are you? I promise to keep my eyes open.
  12. I really liked the Irish lady too :) I get so nervous when I go to dentists... I'm currently looking for a new one, so if anybody has or finds a good alternative, please do let me know!! x
  13. Foxes will play with just about anything you leave out in your garden. It is a good thing to place everything you don't want inside your house into a shed.
  14. Hi ISALB, It's absolutely worth reporting - even if it is too late - as you may be able to provide police with details the residents of the burgled house cannot provide. It may be nothing, but two men climbing a fence into someones garden is not normal. Most people would use a key & enter through a door. This also happens to be around the time 2 houses were broken into on Hindmans Rd.
  15. I did see something weird yesturday, as I was coming up to my house. It must have just gone 7pm, when about 3 doors down, there was a man with a small torch, peering into the front of someones garden. Later that evening I was told there were a couple of police & police cars down the end of the road. I hope everyone is okay.
  16. I'm going to be the first to say that I like Starbucks :) but I don't think we need another one.
  17. I'm sure he'd get alot more sales if he'd try selling ice cream in daylight hours. *& there he goes again at 7.55* northlondoner is right, maybe you should try speaking to the guy.

I'd personally feel quite frightened if something like this happened to me. It's quite disconcerting. Please do report incidents such as these to the police, because like James has already said, hardened criminals start on lower level crimes & progress. Who knows what this man is capable of... or if he hasn't already committed much more serious offences (& gotten away with them)?
  19. Hi Jenny, I'm currently studying at the Covent Garden Academy of Flowers. If you're looking for a large supply, you should take a day out to visit New Covent Garden Market.
  20. Irn Bru, Cherry Coke & Cream Soda are my favorite fizzies, but I very rarely drink soda either. I have an unhealthy obsession with tea & Coffee. There's not alot else I drink. Stacks of Whittards, Tea Palace, Twinnings & frequent visits to Starbucks... I need to cut down. I do like Green Bottle cordials though. Sparkling Elderflower, Ginger & Lemongrass is very nice. Belvoir Fruit Farms organic Ginger Beer is disgusting.
  21. Aaww, the owner's going to be devastated :( I stop to socialize with alot of friendly cats on Overhill road - still I do wish people would encourage their cats to use the back gardens, rather than the front, as it's much safer. Has anybody collected him/her to have scanned for a microchip at a vets or shelter? I wish I'd seen this thread earlier.
  22. BAD BAD NO, Huguenot. Poor Steveo. If tom is getting in at night, it might be a good idea to close your cat flap in the evenings if possible. Alternatively, try to trap him {although ferals can be lethal you might want to consider getting someone who can}. You can contact the Celia Hammond Animal Trust www.celiahammond.org for advice. Their email address is [email protected] & telephone number 0208 694 6545.
  23. Hi Minkey, Wet food tends to generally contain more protein & less carbohydrates than dry food. Try High Life 'Natures Essentials' range. Other brands you might want to look into are; Hills Science Plan, Royal Canin, James Wellbeloved, Applaws. I find Brockwell Vets pet shop stocks all the high quality brands that can't be found at Sainsbury's (but they do stock High Life & Applaws). Also, try asking your vet, who might be able to recommend you something. But cats should definetly have a combination of both wet & dry food (if they'll eat it).
