  1. I don't attach any importance to being cool Betterat50m but each to their own. However, if you're going to have a pop at me for how I choose to express myself then may I suggest that you check your spelling and your grammar first off.
  2. It's Sunday evening and I suppose I should be feeling mellow but I'm not. This sort of posting really takes the piss. You can't be bothered to even look at the forum and attempt to locate the for sale section so you just put it on the main page - in capital letters if you please - like to whole raison d'etre of the EDF is for you to de-junk.
  3. Well done; I think a crossing by the Co-op is long overdue and in a few weeks we'll wonder how we managed without it. Mr Barber, might I suggest you install a couple of speed cameras in Barry Road. It attracts so many racers, who obviously feel that it's their God-given right and everyone should get out of their way. I think you?ll find speed cameras most lucrative on that road.
  4. Mark Rylance is my personal God of acting of all time. He's bringing a Rick III to Shakespeare's Globe this summer and I believe it must be seen. He's also reprising his Lady Olivia in the all male Twelfth Night which I'm seeing (for him) but I'm not fond of the play at all. I was given a royal telling off yesterday for not having warned the world about these plays as apparently Twelfth Night sold out yesterday on the back of the Stephen Fry announcement. The website shows it as completely sold out but apparently if you ring up they might be able to sort you out with something. https://tickets.shakespearesglobe.com/selecteics.asp Unrestricted view seats in the middle gallery is the way to go if you can manage it. I would also recommend Abigail's Party for a bit of light relief (cheesy pineappley one anyone?) at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Easy journey home afterwards. https://www.menierchocolatefactory.com/Online/default.asp I worship at the shrine of Punchdrunk and if you're hungry for them (and I am) then go see their Dr Who collaboration in Ipswich (yes I know, I know) after dark this summer: http://www.wolseytheatre.co.uk/2012crash They keep saying that there will be a London show soon though.
  5. Busted - thanks Katie numbers. I have none of the facts but I'm also behind the bear.
  6. Personally I love the review of for the German Regular Nazi Party 1920-1945 5'x3' Flag, which made me spit my coffee "With one eye on the forthcoming European Championships, I logged onto Amazon with the intention of buying one of those England flags that you fly from a vehicle window. However after stumbling upon this jazzy number I felt compelled to purchase one. Imagine my disappointment when it arrived and I realised that it was simply too large to flutter from a window but, being one to turn misfortune to my advantage, I realised that I could fasten it to the side of my transit van no problem. It fit like a glove! After buying another flag for the other side, my old van looked the proverbial bee's knees. Given I intended to travel to Poland for the Championships in my trusty vehicle, I thought it best to take a test drive to make sure the flags worked properly. Sure enough, after driving round Northern France on a booze trip, the flags worked a treat! You wouldn't believe the number of heads my old van turned and odd continental waves I got. I can certainly recommend the German Regular Nazi Party 1920-1945 flag, it pimps a van like nothing else and I can't wait to storm into Poland in it in July to see our boys take on the opposition!" http://www.amazon.co.uk/German-Regular-Nazi-Party-1920-1945/dp/B004NDDF0C/ref=pd_sim_sbs_kh_3
  7. OMG some bloody American having a pop at Withnail & I. Whatever happened to "the special relationship". What absolute twaddle.
  8. This is fun http://www.amazon.co.uk/Urine-Off-URBU1024-Finder-Light/dp/B000MSWNIW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1329438582&sr=8-3 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Home-Taxidermy-ebook/dp/B004JN0CX4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1329438864&sr=8-3
  9. I've just had a little flit around amazon.co.uk with the intent of buying something high-brow (yes, as if) and I must say, they sell some downright bizarre stuff these days. From the dodgy to the downright wtf. There's this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/PAUL-ROSS-Canvas-Print-MirrorPrintStore/dp/B001N6W8U0/ The comments are priceless btw. And I really don't have any words for this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/German-Regular-Nazi-Party-1920-1945/dp/B004NDDF0C/ref=pd_sim_sbs_kh_3 Do you think they may have been hacked or has this always been there? px
  10. Deleted just because. Px
  11. Yeah whatever. Katie numbers, I've got your number and now your days are numbered.
  12. "come back all is forgiven" t-shirts
  13. Absolutely WoD but, more importantly, this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_B2hUNuxlQ
  14. OMG Katie Numbers has definitely planted things in my head. Definitely. Is there a support network I can turn to? Help, someone, anyone, help. I also suspect she may have tried to get me banned - Admin, please confirm?
  15. If you only go to one gig this year then the one to go to is Ian Hunter at Shepherds Bush Empire http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user?query=search&region=xxx&category=misc&search=ian+hunter&x=0&y=0 We should all go, the whole of the forum. You never know who you could bump into at an Ian Hunter gig.
  16. I will second Anvil. Saw it last year. Touched my heart. Funny, absurd and heartbreaking by turns.
  17. I second Marianne Faithful's biog. I read it a long long time ago and it was a real page-turner. I tend to ignore autobiographies on the whole because people generally have such big fat egos.
  18. Thank you so much for your suggestons Nette and RightClick. Px
  19. I've got a pair. Recommended. Falling on your bum isn't a good look. Px
  20. There's a lot that doesn't bear thinking about if you look too hard. On a scale of 1 to 10 (one being a bit of spit and ten being Howard Hughes), I can go to about a 3 and remain in my comfort zone. I wouldn't let those pedi-fish anywhere near my toes though. Yuck. If anyone wants to seriously treat themselves then the absolute QUEEN of the Arch is Shivata at Harrods. Wildly inconvenient (she only works Wednesdays), but she'll have you looking like a movie star in about 7 minutes flat.
  21. I have an Apple Air which is about a year old but has slowed down considerably in the last couple of weeks. Anybody know why? I used to click on it and it responded immediately. Now it takes its time. Is the honeymoon over? I surf a lot but I don't download much so I don't have lots of random stuff eating my memory (that I know of). I am extremely low tech so only grasp the basics. Would be grateful for suggestions from those more knowledgeable (Mockney?). Px
  22. Seconded Lady M. Life just isn't worth living is it.
  23. Servants.
  24. Yes quids but why start a new thread on it which is opening the discussion again? It's a matter that should not be on the forum. So let's not start a new thread. Huh. P
