  1. I had a Cameleon for my 1st child which was great, followed by a P&T when #2 came along. Now I'm on #3 and have a Bee+ which I love. For travel, be it by bus, putting it in the boot of a car, or air travel, it is far and away easier than the Cameleon. Much smaller, lighter, and one piece fold is a huge bonus. We previously used a Maclaren as our travel/boot of the car buggy, but no longer use it since getting the Bee. I'm currently in NZ and it has been great in terms of ease of fold when boarding planes (3 of them involved in our journey to get here). On the way here we had a very tired 5 year old in Singapore Airport, and he ended up sitting comfortably in it for a while too!
  2. Agree that baby rice is unnecessary, it tastes horrible and there's no reason why you can't give baby something a bit more interesting to start off with. Both the Baby Led Weaning and Annabel Karmel books are excellent for ideas and tips. Enjoy!
  3. I consistently measured small in all 3 pregnancies, generally about 3cm smaller than dates, and had perfectly healthy babies. I have a small frame, and each baby was just over 6lbs at birth, but all absolutely normal.
  4. Hi there I don't have a seat liner for my Bee. Once I stopped using the cocoon I started using a sheepskin, which I guess serves the same purpose as a liner. I didn't know you could get an organiser, off I go to Google it now!
  5. Parking is very easy, and I remember it being pretty cheap (a couple of ?? covers a whole morning of parking). It will be open, I think soft play generally opens around 9:15/9:30ish. Enjoy, I think it's one of the better ones in terms of the equipment, my kids love it there.
  6. Have you tried giving him a dream feed instead? As you're going to bed lift him and give him a quick top up and see if that makes a difference? That's what I have done with all 3 of my children and it means we are guaranteed a peaceful night.
  7. Sunshine! Although you may need to move abroad to find it... But seriously, I hang my whites out on really sunny days and it works really well, baby's cloth nappies included.
  8. One class I really enjoyed was Little Bubbles - there are a number of classes held locally, it was more original than some of the others and both of my children loved it. It's suitable from around a year I think (it's been a year since we stopped going, but I will be going back once my baby is old enough) Website is http://www.littlebubbles.com/
  9. There are childminders that do this type of childcare (you drop your child at their house before school, and they will do the school drop off/pick up). Might be worth popping an ad on here asking for one who covers Oakfield.
  10. Yes, that's what most of the little girls wear
  11. Mr Pickle had an easy journey there - 185 bus to Lewisham, then DLR. It seems pretty much all the routes work with no real problems, the expected travel chaos hasn't really come to anything. Enjoy!
  12. Just put my starting weight in - back in Feb I was likened to an Ecuadorian weight lifter, so I'm pleased with my progression to table tennis! Good news for me, I stayed the same this week, finally. Just a week until I go to NZ and eat all things I miss, so no doubt I'll be back to tracking points again once I get back to London ;)
  13. For PE, my son wears a plain white t shirt (you can get a pack of 3 for ?2 at Sainsburys) and navy shorts, which I believe is the official PE uniform. Under his school sweatshirt he wears either plain white polo shirts or blue Goodrich t-shirts.
  14. My son was 3 before he mastered his scooter, but daughter was scooting confidently at 19 months, so it does depend on the child. Best money we have spent, they are still going strong now a few years on.
  15. You can take fruit with you, just make sure it's all eaten or disposed of before you get off at your destination country.
  16. I don't see why not. But of course it will be hot and sunny through to November (right?), so no need to worry about it for months ;)
  17. It hasn't been too strict, bit I do think it will be tightened up on a bit next year now that the new head teacher has taken over. Tights, most girls wear dark grey, and black shoes. In reception my son didn't seem to need trainers for PE, they did it inside, barefoot. It won't start immediately when term begins, so I'm sure we will get details beforehand as to what they need this year. There does end to be quite a big variation in terms of shoes, and we are guilty of starting the year in black and ending it in red Clarks trainers (son had a growth spurt, I didn't want to buy new shoes a few weeks before the end of term!).
  18. North Korean table tennis player here
  19. I'm a North Korean table tennis player :)
  20. Hey Georgina, I just saw your other thread and replied there - but basically I think you need to be very careful in terms of using the WW name or Propoints on food you're making, as they are brands and fiercely protected by the company.
  21. Probably. Although my now 4 year old was exposed when her brother caught it, and since many times at school, creche etc, and she hasn't had them yet.
  22. At one they won't appreciate any of it :) Balloons and a bit of party food. If you're outside, maybe a paddling pool turned into a ball pool, or a tunnel?
  23. I have a folder (one of the a4 size plastic envelope type ones) for things needing dealt with (bills etc), although I do find I'm more likely to deal with them if I leave them on top of my laptop so that when I go to turn it on I'm reminded! Then everything gets filed in folders up in our loft room which we have set up as an office. I'd rather have one folder sitting on the worktop than a pile of pages which get scattered everywhere and lost.
  24. Yes, we will come today, finally a day where we don't have anything else on. I don't know if I'll recognise any of you!
