  1. I'd really like to vote for Andy Stranack - the Conservative candidate for Camberwell and Peckham. An interesting and genuinely concerned politician who not only believes in local and direct action but has been practising it for over ten years. However, the poll on the EDF makes it look more likely that a Lib Dem vote (for an apparent nonentity) would be a better bet to oust Harriet Harman - which seems to me to be a worthwhile outcome. What to do? What to do?

  3. isn't the existence of the Catholic Church a sin against common sense and Dawkin-ism?

At present No.2 exists in a form - but the "not to treat" can mean everything from not giving drugs to prolong life to actually withdrawing food & drink - condemning the patient to die of starvation / dehydration, not a good way to go.
  5. Have just called the Southwark hotline number mentioned by Nero - answered by a human being at 3.45 on a Sunday afternoon. Have been promised that the council team will come and clean up Marmora / Scutari and Therapia roads and put up more "bag it & bin it" signs.

Can you give me more details - I may be able to assist.
  7. Walking today I noticed that both lodges in Dulwich Park are boarded up. I think this occurred some time ago. Does anyone know what the plans are? It would be a shame for them not to be lived in - either by park staff or possibly let on long leases to private tenants. I'm sure there would be many takers for a well maintained house inside the park.

    Record Posts

As Mrs Marmora Man I'm amazed at the number of responses generated within 14 hours to the "Courtesy /Politically Incorrect" post. Granted many of them are between 4 or 5 regular posters exchanging insults / comments / gossip but .... What is the record thread as measured by posts per day? Does the Administrator keep such statistics?

It's such a sophisticated area.
  10. We've used it for family get togethers and as a couple. Recommneded for good food, good value for money but it, might, lack a bit of romantic "oomph" essential for wedding anniversary dinner. Lighting is a bit bright - whereas I always look for subdued lighting and candles when dining romantically (husband looks better in dim lighting!!) - it's all a bit bright. Apart fcrom this tho' I'd recommend Si MAngia highly.

I've asked before at the Bishop whether they source from EDD and the answer is generally no, they make everything on their own premises.
