That made me laugh, rah. didn't watch that, but I did watch Question Time. When Peter Hitchens is the most reasonable voice on a QT panel, something has gone badly wrong with the country.

And 'Selclene' sounds like it's a name conjured up by some illiterate who wants to come in, 'clene up' all your valuable goods and 'sel' them on eBay. But, in one way you are correct - I am, indeed, anonymous. Whereas you are making your business look like an bunch of intolerant and abusive idiots. Just the sort of people you really don't want holding the keys to your house. This *is* going well for you, isn't it? It's like a crash course in 'destroying your business - marketing for imbeciles'. Does Selclene know you are tarnishing their brand so deftly?

Or find a Metrobank. The Sainsburies on charges a commission.

Got mine on the NHS yesterday (as I'm part of the at-risk group). I hate needles, but as you say, they are expecting it to be bad this year.

Is today's Bombardier issue a sign of future things to come once we leave Europe, especially if Corbyn gets in and starts subsidising some struggling industries, as he's promised?

I've not used them, but looking at the site, it seems like a useful idea with some decent prices that looks like it fills a niche in the market. But, it is geared to enable landlords to manage their own properties. So, a bit of a different service to what agents offer.

Possibly from Viz's Top Tips...

The AfD are but an irritant. Merkel main job will be to get a coalition together. The best bet seems to be CDU (Merkel's party), the FDP and the Greens. Which is a bit like a Tory/LibDem/Green coalition - unthinkable in the UK. Sounds like Germany's politics are a bit more grown up than ours. But, yes, Merkel will be busy for a few months and Brexit will move to the back-burner for her.

The coming week should be interesting. Uber are claiming they passed a compliance audit in April. Also, a series of meetings with TfL since then were cancelled. More interestingly, they say they have been trying to meet with Khan for a few months, but to no avail. If TFL and Khan are seen to be trying to shut Uber out in any way unfairly, this may be quite telling at the appeal. Plus, I think the groundswell of opinion will have taken Khan a little bit by surprise. I suspect a few meetings will be held PDQ between Uber and TFL (but not with Khan). Uber will make a few concessions (the reporting of allegations about drivers to the police being the main one) and TFL will claim victory and grant a new licence, probably for a limited time of one or two years. And then the next day, black cabs will hold a protest and block Trafalgar Sq up again.

Blah Blah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The Tory Party will rip itself apart in the process. Labour is hardly looking like it has any party agreement on Brexit either. I'm still hoping that both the Tories and Labour split, with the centre-left and centre-right coming together to form a new Macron-style party (dare I say Blair-style?) and save the country from the morons on both the further right and further left.

Jules-and-Boo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I wouldn't be surprised if TfL has it's own version to replace Uber. There's Hailo/myTaxi and Gett already. Black cab drivers have long rallied against apps and card payments. I suspect they don't like the paper trail. It also means they have had their big privilege nullified... being able to pick up from the street. But since Uber, who stands on the street in the vague hope some black cab is going to be passing (and, as others have pointed out, deem your journey to be acceptable to them)? Open app, book journey, sit inside until you get buzzed. Uber does have one big advantage, though - you can use it in places across the world.

Desert Britain now, beg to come back. That's really taking delusional to new heights. If we lose the banking passport there will be a stampede to get out. There was a Brexiter on the Victoria Derbyshire program this morning trying to say Britain would not drop off the cliff edge "because there was no cliff". It's like a new attempt at reality...

Outside there, a black cab driver will turn to satnav as well. In this day and age, the Knowledge is not a big advantage.

This could be a rare political mis-step for Khan if Uber do actually stop operating in London. It would be tremendously unpopular.

My experience was that arranging a tradesman via a managing agent was always much more expensive than calling them yourselves. I never quite worked out if the agent was tacking on a percentage, the tradesman was inflating the fees to agents or there was some sort of kick-back agreement operating.

I know those aren't your figures, but 6.53m at 18 mph is less than one second. I can't believe he had time to shout twice in less than one second. Nor do the 'left-right-left' thing as you describe. Something doesn't add up here. > Interesting to note that had she stepped in front of a car doing that speed at that distance > there is no way it could have stopped - and on that basis a prosecution of the driver would never have happened. I suspect that if it was an illegal car with no brakes, I think they would have. -

By his own testimony, he had time to shout at her TWICE ?get the **** outta my way? before he ploughed into her. So she must have 'stepped in front' of him at quite a distance.
