Sexist, yes; but misogyny?

Passing grammatical punnery on my part. What's that got to do with chips on anybody's shoulders?? I'd say you are starting to flounder a bit here, zeban, but you'd probably try to take offence on behalf of fish everywhere...

  4. I'd be happy to eat any vegetarian animal. Might baulk at the carnivorous though - it's not supposed to be terribly good for you. If a steak restaurant cook and serve steak and a fish restaurant cook and serve fish, why don't vegetarian restaurants cook and serve vegetarians?

    Lightbulbs

Only 100w and over are illegal. And who the hell needs a 100w bulb anyway?

Some victory Who said the word 'victory'? Oh, that'd be just 'expat' then... The point is that many were predicting that the Lib Dems were finished - thus the name of this thread. Some even said there was a chance they'd lose their deposit in the recent by-election. In truth, they not only held their vote share, but raised it ever so slightly. Lots of talk about Tory tactical voting but, in reality, I doubt that was a whole lot. So no victory, but since by-elections are generally not good for parties in government, it's not bad news. Not bad news at all.
  11. From a different, but similar article called "I Too Slept With a Spy" Re-education camps? WTF? How very Stalinist.

  13. When my father taught me to drive he told me the concept of "Defensive Driving". It's quite simple - assume that everyone else on the road (car, bike, pedestrian, whatever) is an idiot. It is really quite effective. And is easily applicable to whatever mode of transport you want.
  14. If that doesn't work, you could try booting a Linux Live version - a version of Linux that boots from a cd/dvd. You could then mount the disk and get the data off from there.
  15. That's the problem MM. A lot of it is being caused by the weakness of the pound, world food costs and energy prices, rather the economy bubbling over. I think a rise is unlikely.
  16. Ooooh! Is Casey Jones back on the forum? Hope so - I'll try my luck... Barry - I often have to travel out of London by train from Paddington. I buy my ticket from the machine at East Dulwich. But, when I travel out the gates at London Bridge won't accept my ticket and I have to get an attendant to let me out. The same occurs on the way back at LB. The underground accepts my ticket and the gates at Paddington accept it, but not London Bridge. Do you know why this happens and can it be fixed?
  17. I hope not. There a few enough decent sports halls in London and no shortage of football grounds. I'd must rather see some money spent on updating the NSC.
  18. That's a shame.
  19. No wonder I don't see many famous people - I've never heard of half the ones mentioned here!
  20. I cracked my iPod screen once. ?15 replacement off eBay and an interesting hour getting the damn thing opened. Still, got it fixed cheap.
  21. I wish Danny Baker well, but frankly the less time he spends on radio the better...
  22. I'd definitely like to know the outcome of this as well. Whilst the locking in the car may be covered somehow, I suspect the enforced photography may be of interest to Liberty, et al.
  23. Family Guy's Quagmire... "I'm a Vagittarius!" Giggity.
  24. I'd never vote for BNP, but you have to admit that, as a protest vote, it's rather effective. If the Greens or UKIP or the SWP vote doubled no one would care. If the BNP vote doubles everyone panics.
